Origin players – IMO have something that some players JUST DONT HAVE.
That means when it feels like its all gone to hell, they stay in the fight, they have the aggression to absorb and return fire, not in key moments BUT IN EVERY MOMENT. With a visible distaste for there opponents, becuase is not about competing in origin its about winning. (Latrel mitchel is one of the finest examples of this in the current NSW stock) doesnt matter if he is competing well HE IS TRYING TO WIN EVERY DAMN MOMENT!!!! Every tackle, every run, every push and shove or.verbal trade he is fighting to win. Qld have as a unit far more players of this mould.
Munster, collins, gilbert, hunt, carrigan, tino, cotter.
We need to look at qualities that arent alwys seen in highlight reels. We need to assses based on charcter rather then skill sometimes.

Fall into a category of players who i consider may not be as talented or skIlled as others but warrant consideration for selection given the performce of the so called best of the best selected.
I missed seeing latrel Mitchell out there, not becuase i think we would have won we wouldnt have, but atleast stomaching the lose abit better seeing someone show cases qualities that you can be proud of.
Tedesco looks deflated and confused, Cam is utilised on bench more then in the game.
Yeo is skillfull but toothless without bite, wosrt of all the coach was OUT PLAYED TACTICALLY by not the qld spirit but in slaters ability to see GLARING weaknesses in the line up of YES very talented skillful players who when thrown into origin against players who have that something that you cant always see have, well you only have to watch last nights replays to see what happens…..
Id be putting out a SOS call to jack whighton to consider hos retirment, to help salvage some pride, becuase if we lose im a series white wash, the implications and possible projection for the next oh i dont know 6 YEARS should be extremely concerning for anyone who bleeds blue as i do.
