We’re diving deep into all the differences between driver and wedge technique today and how to deliver the instrument efficiently based on what the shot demands.

In our system, there are many similarities, but also a few key differences in how energy gets released through the strike. Hope this helps everyone improve their golf swings 🙏

  1. Superb. This is an awesome way to think. Takes the attention away from the arms and hands. Keeps the energy stored for a later release.

  2. Really enjoying the videos. Within this swing system, can you guys do a video on what tweaking or feels can help avoid pulls / pull hooks? With so much chest rotation it seems like the club path would always tend to pull left at impact…

  3. Guys would love to see a video about honey hole. Specifically like when to squat, transition, etc. 🔥

  4. Such a wonderful explanation about early active hip rotation vs. late passive hip rotation and the should/rib cage leading. Totally changed my swing intention for the better. Thank you so very much!😀

  5. You guys keep delivering for me. Been following you guys for a few weeks now, following your instructions. I have seen a great amount of improvement on short irons, feel like focusing on the correct sequencing and movement naturally slowed me down. Which massively improve consistency of strike. Love the explanation of late extension, will be using the info given in this video when working on driver later this week. Love it, guys cheers 👍🏻

  6. In order to hit up with the driver and have a lowpoint before the ball it all depends on how I pull / Push back the lead shoulder/rib after landing on the lead side ?

  7. Hey no clashing clothes😂 Great video of course! Learned a lot from you two already!!!

  8. Update. I played my clubs medal this weekend and was determined to incorporate some of your key principles – rib cage rotation, pelvic flexing, heavy point, on top of plane under plane etc. I don’t know if you guys do this on purpose but in most of your shared instruction the terms that currently dominate instruction are rarely used. Swing speed, pressure shift, ground reaction forces, vectors etc. I played a really good round with much more control and accuracy. My distance was not as good but I knew that going out. It hurt off the tee too but again fairways found was much higher. The club face is square to target so much longer. My question is will speeding everything up ever deliver the ball distance now essential to play “good” golf, especially off the tee. I hope so and intend to stick with it to find out. Hope to book a slot with you on line later in the summer. Tx again.

  9. Question: Since how we stand and hold the club has not much to do with how the ball is struck – why start like that in the first place? It must be the easiest way, since nothing else is taught but is it really? Maybe that’s something you care to elaborate- Why adress looks the way it does if impact is so different

  10. Loving this series. Striped my 5 iron for the first time! (Can’t seem to do it consistently though 😢) I’m feeling a little lost with the follow through/post impact. Would y’all be able to make a video going more in depth there?

  11. I too would like to say thank you! This is one of the most brilliant golf swing analysis I’ve ever seen!!!!!

  12. That move at 8.22 even though I’ve seen it numerous times through other videos, was a game changer in demonstration and explanation. Amazing video.

  13. So in theory the low controlled swing with the wedge, is a lot like, what I think of as a punch shot in that I want to hold the right arm angle a bit longer. On the driver, I want that momentum to release thru the ball, like a catapult. What is throwing me off is the head drop in the practice swings vs the real swings. I don’t really see that head drop, with the longer clubs. Great video, thank you.

  14. This is really outstanding way explaining golf swing really have watched many videos on YouTube this is one of the best thank you very much from the

  15. The thought process of the chest being the engine has change everything about my swing for the better. It feels so much more effortless and gave me a fuller understanding of my swing and how to control bottom point, speed, etc. Quick question on the wedge, do you still let the club get released like an iron, but it just happens later because of the less energy in the system? We shouldn't try to force the rear wrist extension and hold it through a normal wedge shot? Love the content!

  16. Came back to this video as had a struggle on the course. I absolutely love the way you guys explain things dynamically, it really helps me understand the motions clearer. Wedge swing slower chest/ribs rotation and stay in flexion. Driver swing faster chest/ribs flexion and late extension. Key wording for me LATE EXTENSION, makes so much sense.

  17. Awesome video lot of great info I’ve never heard before. On wedge swing are you still pulling up back and away as you do with driver just at lower energy then?

  18. I have watched this video at least 5 times and each time I come away with additional perspective to better understand what is suppose to happen in these two swings. This is the best video/instruction that I have ever seen. You guys are awesome and great instructors.
