When you’re under pressure your tendencies and weaknesses will get exposed.
This is good, because without awareness we can’t begin to fix them.
If you spend all your time on the range you rob yourself of the opportunity to fail, learn, and eventually improve.
2️⃣ Chase progress not perfection:
Perfection is not attainable in golf, the sooner you accept this the better.
The goal is to get the ball in the hole in the fewest amount of strokes possible and some days it will look prettier than others.
Learn to accept all outcomes on the course and judge your success based off attitude and effort rather than results.
3️⃣ Increasing your confidence off the golf course will increase your confidence on the course:
For example: getting in better shape, giving your best to school, work, relationships, breaking out of your comfort zone by trying new things, asking the girl out, etc.)
Golf is not a separate entity from life. They have a symbiotic relationship. If you improve one you improve the other.
If you get jacked, get a promotion at work, or hit a record high month of sales in your business, I guarantee that extra swag you feel from the success will trickle into your golf game.
Keeping this in mind, you should always have an arena outside of golf you are learning about and pursuing goals in.
