These golfers are all contractors, playing to make living, while joining a "franchise / union" called PGA….I would imagine 99% of the players are there to make money / living, not targeting records / legacy, and in my mind, they can do whatever they want.
I don't think there is right or wrong about joining LIV or staying..it is what it is as we all change jobs time to time. If I were Tiger, Rory or whoever with some leverage / power as a player, I would partner with LIV, and just "take over" PGA just to get rid of Jay M (and other leadership) and/or simply create a "new" tour. I would even name the tour "F_PGA"….and F stands for..(your imagination 🙂)
