One notable golfer associated with LIV Golf is Cameron Smith, an Australian professional golfer. Born on August 18, 1993, in Brisbane, Australia, Smith has made a significant impact on the professional golfing world, and his partnership with LIV Golf has further elevated his profile.
#cameronsmith turned professional in 2013 and quickly rose through the ranks. The duo earned a remarkable half-point in their match against the highly regarded American duo of Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed.
Smith’s breakthrough on the PGA Tour came in 2017 when he won his first tournament at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, teaming up with Jonas Blixt. This victory showcased his skills in a team format and established him as a force to be reckoned with on the professional circuit.

I hope we don't lose LIV. I don't know what kind of deals are conjured up with the PGA.
One event in Australia that did well, does not say LIV is great. Every other LIV event has had small crowds, and the TV viewership is woeful. Even on YT, LIV has around 275K subscribers compared to the PGA's 1.17 million. And take out the 10 best players on LIV and you are left with 38 OK Golfers. Sure, 4 LIV golfers did well in the masters, but the rest all finished below the top 30. Same with the PGA Championship, the majority of LIV golfers finished outside the top 30.
LIV has some good players, but in reality, as a group they are not as competitive as the PGA players. As an Aussie, I watched the Australian event and it was mostly a lot of drunkards screaming and throwing beer all over the place.
So if people want to watch Golf with loud music blaring, beer being thrown around, drunks all over the place and just 48 players, go ahead. Sure the PGA reacted to what LIV did, but to me, they panicked. The Saudis would have kept the PGA in court for years that would have cost the PGA millions they could not afford.
And now, the Saudis have a seat on the board which is what they really wanted all the time. LIV was and still is struggling to get sponsors, because American money is needed and that was not forthcoming due to 9/11. And if anyone is interested, check out what happened when back in the 70's, Kerry Packer, an Aussie businessman, started World Series Cricket to get Cricket Australia to the table to pay the players more. And the World Series only lasted from 1977 to 1979 when a deal was reached between them and Cricket Australia and the players.
