The PGA TOUR heads to Detroit, Michigan, this week for the fifth installment of the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club. Last year’s champion Tony Finau returns to defend his record-setting title. Finau finished with a score of 26-under-par to break the tournament scoring record by three shots, posting just one bogey on the week. He’ll be accompanied by an in-form Rickie Fowler in the field. He’s finished inside the top-13 in his last four events, including a T5 finish at the U.S. Open, setting the U.S. Open single-round scoring record in round one. Justin Thomas will also be teeing it up this week in Detroit. He snapped back into form at the Travelers Championship after achieving his first top-10 since mid-March at the Valspar Championship. Only winner Keegan Bradley made more birdies at the Travelers, as he closed with a 64-62-67 in his final three rounds. Tom Kim will also like his chances this week after he finished T8 at the U.S. Open in Los Angeles. Turning 21 years old last week in Connecticut, he posted rounds of 64 and 65 to finish T38. The Korean debuted here last summer and matched the course record (63) on Sunday to finish solo seventh. Max Homa, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa and Keegan Bradley will also be shooting for top spot in Detroit.

  1. Great to see Ricky win again. My best friend Dave New was Ricky's first teacher about 27 years ago. I wish he could see Ricky now.

  2. Definitely the worst coverage ever! No video feed of the group 1 , but steady coverage of a group12 to 15 strokes off lead! Canceling the golf channel and its endless mindless commercials ?buh Bye!

  3. Rickie, I've always been rooting for you
I extend to you my heartiest congratulations.

Us Open was a bit disappointing but fought well enough, and watching the game made me feel like I was about to win.

    👍👍👍

  4. Round 3 and 4 good touch and good linght shorrt and good luck riccky big love big respact u r winner 2023

  5. From a wayward drive in first playoff hole to the closest to the pin 2nd shot for a birdie and win. Its gotta be the glasses. (smile)

  6. With that putt, you could sense the monkey jumping off Ricky's back. There is no better champion than Ricky. I hope he wins the Open.

  7. That second shot in the playoff…there aren’t many ppl in the world that could stand up there, with that pressure and hit that shot

  8. Ricky has played so well after the past month. He came so close in recent months. He played well enough during the PGA Championship he deserved to win. This win looked in doubt but in the end he did what he had to do coming into the 18 green in regular play and during the playoff. His iron play made the difference.

  9. Tiger-like shot onto the green out of the rough to setup the winning put. I hadn't felt like that watching golf since the 2000's.

  10. The triple playoff was great. Loved seeing Ricky sink the 12' putt for the win! 🏆
