  1. Respect to Giannis on maintaining his stance, coolness and humility. And for defining success and failure to success in just 2 minutes. Learn that kiddos.

  2. The fact that they’ve now fired their coach shows that it was a failure. You don’t get fired if there wasn’t a failure. Giannis is a liar and an actor.

  3. Always liked his demeanor. Great response. Crazy how he still apologizes. Didn't have to. But shows what kind of man he is

  4. Such a soft cake. Dude makes 40mil a year. Unlike people playing ballgame in the park. You a pro athlete getting paid that much to WIN the title. period.

  5. This is an intelligent and classy man– we all need to listen to him. It's a shame the whiny, immature Klay Thompsons, egotistical Steph Currys and simple minded Draymond Greens of the sports world can't be this insightful, influential and admirable.

  6. A beautiful and stunning response. It reminds me of Teddy Rosevelts speech that he gave at the Sorbonne in about 1914? "the Man in the Arena". bk

  7. Looking back at what Giannis said, I agree that there are steps to success and you may not accomplish your goals every year, it still doesn’t make this season not a failure. It was a complete failure as the number 1 seed lost to the 8th seed. Even though it was a failure, it doesn’t mean all the work was for nothing.

  8. Wow,Giannis really beat down that question. he really flipped it on that guy. there can be no better answer than that how he explained it

  9. The right question: given that you all were the number 1 seed, how high were the expectations for a championship run this year and how disappointing was it to exit in the first round given those expectations?

Also/secondary: what do you think is the pulse of Bucks fans given that you all were the number one seed? Any message to them after the first round exit?

Giannis is a goat for how he handled this.

  10. I understand where he’s coming from, but you were the first seed against an eight seed. You and your team failed to get past them. In my opinion, failure is inevitable and you failed to live up to expectations. I understand that he was injured in Games 1 through 3, but still, you need to understand that this season was a massive failure, but it doesn’t mean he can’t come back from it.

  11. Pretty wise response for a young man that seems to be a very reasonable, humble and likeable person overall… good luck in the future.

  12. I'm not a Bucks fan, but moments like this have made me a Giannis fan. I've watched this interview dozens of times over the past month because this message applies to all facets of life. Success is a process. Not reaching your goals is part of being successful. Avoiding that process and taking the quick and easy path rarely leads to meaningful and sustained success.

He's angry, disappointed, tired, injured, and incredibly agitated by this reporter's question which is little more than bait. So many complex emotions and feelings going on but Giannis is still able to provide a thoughtful answer without letting his emotions take over. That's incredible discipline for someone his age and it shows people that there is always a human side to sports. Too many people think athletes owe them something, so they treat them like circus monkeys that need to bend to their will. These are human beings doing a job by playing a game. There are more important things in life than your occupation. I love how Giannis gives this heartfelt answer while he's clearly frustrated but still has the presence of mind to respect the person asking the question. The apology at the end made me chuckle because it totally encapsulates who Giannis is as a person. We need more Giannis's in our society.
