PGA Pro BRUTALLY Rates My ENTIRE GOLF BAG SETUP!? When buying new golf clubs you always want to think about buying the best golf clubs for you… the best golf clubs of 2023 for you may be different to the best golf clubs of 2023 for me… some golfers want the best forgiving irons of 2023, the best forgiving driver of 2023 and even the best forgiving hybrid of 2023… but the best forgiving golf clubs of 2023 differ depending on what swing issues different golfers have. its a great idea to go and get fitted for your golf clubs, fitted golf clubs will generally work much better for golfers than new golf clubs bought off the shelf. If you already have your golf bag set up then maybe think about getting your local PGA Pro or golf instructor to have a look at your clubs on work on making sure they are the best for you just like I am doing in this video, A PGA Pro can help your game no end, one thing myself, Rick Shiels, Peter Finch Danny Maude and many other YouTube have in common is we are all PGA Professionals … let’s do it… and let’s do it now!

Really like my hybrids , I am finally trying a 3 wood in my bag haven't use a 3 wood in about 20 years . LOL , and I use 6 iron down to wedges and my hybrids are a #4 and #5 .
My best buy this year is a custom fitted callaway standard paradym driver. I get a whopping 30 yards extra and more fairway hits. 😊
He would have a field day looking at my bag, no hybrids, 6-9 with wedges and Driver 3, 5, 7 and 9 woods
Basically Chris is saying you're not the same natural ball striker as him😁
Didn’t you get on with the pxg irons James ?
I would love to see and hear what Chris thinks of the Tour Edge 723 pro irons?
If you and Chris are interested, I would love to play a couple or rounds with y'all here in New Orleans.
Love my Toulon Garage putter. The deep milling feels amazing
I prefer a hybrid to a fairway metal, more consistent.
My 3 wood goes nearly as far as my driver but you use a driver of the deck!! For long par 4’s or par 5’s!! Well I can’t. Lol
I only use hybrids 2,4,and 7 after my driver and only have a 54° and 65° wedge is that wrong
Hey James I thought you gamed the pro 223 irons. Do you think the tours are better.
Gotta say I prefer a 5 wood! Sorry!
I gave up my ego on the golf clubs setup. I realized that even though I hate offset and prefer the supermodel look of blades, I’d rather have clubs that are nice to me and can cook! I dropped from a 9 to a 4 handicap and my longest iron is a Ping power spec 8! With 3 hybrids.
it's down to what works for the individual…..not what someone tells you you should be using….
Hello James. Can’t wait to see your experience with Rogue vs Paradym. I just won an ST at a raffle and it sounds so good (my current driver is a Titleist 907🙂).
I think mr Robinson would gain many shots by using Wilson wedges 50-56, like I do.
Two "special-wedges" is enough if you love sub 70-rounds.
10.5 Stealth HD driver, 15.5 Cobra LTD Max 3 wood, 18 degree SIM 2 Max 5 wood, 21 degree Cobra 7 wood, 25 degree Cleveland 9 wood, 6-aw Mizuno jpx 921 hot metals, 52 degree Cleveland rtx, 56 degree Taylormade wedge, Mizuno M-craft mallet putter and Pro v1 ball. Thats whats in the bag for me. I think anything over 56 or 58 is to high for your average golfer. Handicap is 7.7 by the way
Chris has it right, never bought a golf club for years. Tells Robbo his clubs are shite and then bags them 🤣 James loves hitting his 60 close in front of Chris.
2 years ago I replaced my 3 wood with a 5 wood. Best decision I made. I love my 5 wood and it fills the 210 -220 yardage off the deck and off a tee 220-230.
James – Your swing plane has gone flat again, mainly with the longer clubs, hence the low left ball flight. Time to regroup……….
So what kind of putter is it. ?
What ever golfer would love😍 can’t wait to see the videos👌🏻
Wow doesn't take much to be a pga pro nowadays. I mean even a local pro. Don't understand
Driver ping g425 max , cobra sz 3 wood , cobra ltdx 19 & 22 degree hybrids, pxg gen 6 0311xp 5-pw , Cleveland rtx 50,54,60
I'm very impressed with the Gen2 PXG driver i recently added.
Chris is wrong on saying those irons are not for you. Your ball striking is on point, and you are a pro. He's just jealous.
I got a stealth 2 HD hybrid 5 in the beginning of the summer and I absolutely love it! My favourite this year.
Hi James and Chris. I have a Titleist TSR2 driver that I was fitted for. 4 wood and 7 wood Titleist 5 hybrid Titleist.
I’ve found for the wedges the Bounce is more important than the loft..From that rough especially. Similar to you James I have a 56 with 14 bounce and a 60 with 8 bounce, 60 for bunkers with less sand, 56 for heavy rough and soft bunkers..Cheers
I prefer a 5 wood to a hybrid.
I’m a 22 h/c and got driver fitted with all brands and the one that suited me was the Taylormade Stealth max. I must say my home coarse is narrow and I’ve found this driver to perform very well for increased distance and forgiveness, which I don’t understand as many review were the opposite. I guess that is way you should get a fitting. Next up is wedges, probably a 50, 55 and 60 in vokey wedges. All other clubs including iron and woods I’m not any brand fan, so whatever works best
I own the same Vegas Toulon and shaft in short slant neck. I cannot hit that putter hard enough, I think a standard one with the white-hot face would do me better.
Chris is, & Knows Best!!!
#EveryDayGolfer rules!!!!
I had a fetish for Japan handcrafted irons, and allmost bought a Yururi raw blades once on a trip to Thailand. Not buying them started haunting me later and I then got a limited Miura set for my 50th birthday.
They are the best looking blades I have ever seen, small in all aspects and designed as a co-effort between Jack Nicklaus and Katsuhiro Miura himself. Reshafted them with KBS C-Taper S+ shafts and just love the feel of them gems!
No hybrids, but two old and trusty TaylorMade R9 fwys, the T3 TP and 5 TP to fill in the gap between 21° 3-iron and my driver, which has been tweaked as the years gone by. Now having a Callaway MAVRIK Sub Zero with Px HZRDS Smoke Yellow 76g stiff on it. Great stick as well, but not the best behaving on those worse days off the tee. Then I can switch to the T3, which hit consistetly to 240 meters.
Wedges, only two, 56/12 and 52/10, or mid bounce, if you like. I’ve played different wedges over the years, Cally Forged+, Vokey inndifferent models, latest been the SM8, Clevelands, 588s in the past and Cobra Tour Trusty and Now Cleveland RTX-3 ZipCores in my bag. Same lofts allways, and have them bent to my desired lofts, if there has not been the lofts available, that I wanted.
Cannot figure out hybrids. Just swapped my 4 out for a 4 utility Iron and it has changed my life. Maybe not getting quite as much distance (not enough to worry about), but I do get it straight and hit it consistently.
Hybrids: I quite like one in winter, I think it works really well off FW then, but I feel much less happy in summer. I've switched back now to my 4i from 4h; the 4i is both a great driving iron AND lets me get out from under trees far better than a high launch hybrid – and the extra roll means many more shots finishing off line. A low runner feels much more linksy.
For juicy first cut/light rough, I prefer a heavy 7w to hybrid (but I don't play EITHER well from there). But I want my 7 to be a narrow, deep face too – the old Steelhead III was perfect.
OTOH, I watched a 0.6 index player on Sat use a hybrid to hit a high draw off the tee & over trees to cut a dogleg. The combination of height, length & draw is WELL outside my ability
I've got a new GW on order – I am switching from a "pure trad" wedge design to one which is more an iron blend one, as I have realised the level of inconsistency on full shots (but I still need to be able to use as a wedge)
Blade vs Iron: I do wonder if there is a market to sell blades that swing EXACTLY like game improvement clubs – then you practice with those, and switch back to the GI for actual games….. Would benefit striking, if not distance management.
Is Chris Martin a PGA Pro. Looking at his swing and game I assumed he was a mate from down the pub
I’m gaming Titleist TSR2 driver and T100s irons that I love. I would like to try the Paradym driver but scared that I would like it more than mine 😂😂
Great video James and I’m looking forward to watching the video where you play with Chris’s clubs
