  1. Maybe, but I feel like at this point last year, people were definitely recognizing the immense talent that we had.

  2. Even Josh Pate is starting to be nice to us. Nothing like his post-bowl game KState vs. LSU rant a couple of years ago!

  3. The running back room should keep us relatively at deuce levels, they will just likely have less attention dragged to them for the rest of the team to make plays. I feel like the receiving room will be about where it was last year. Less experience this time but perhaps more talent.
With regards to scheduling: Home games will be much easier than usually, and away will be much harder than usual. The plus side, no matter what we’ll definitely be in contention for at least 2nd or third in the big 12 being that I guarantee 7/7 home wins. Add on to that a win in Lawrence, Columbia, and Stillwater, and we have 10. Those will be wins but grinded out wins for at least 2. The two Texas road games will be where we find out if we go 12-0 or 10-2. If we go 12-0, our road games should have better prepared the team for the championship and playoffs, so An alabama won’t be as big of a surprise in road strength as it was last time. Don’t get me wrong i didn’t have Kstate beating BAMA but it did seem that that strength and atmosphere on the road was Ill prepared for and startling. Hopefully our players get that environment in a win at Texas and Texas tech. Lord knows Lubbock is becoming nearly or just as loud as Austin lately. Should be good prep for the post season games.

  4. why is no one talking about Sterling Lockett? He didn't even get a mention when they were talking about our WRs.

  5. I'm surprised we didn't hear anything about Cole's baseball injury. Other than that huge omission, great pod.

  6. You can’t replace Deuce and you don’t try to. The addition of Ward and K. Johnson are key- dudes that wont quit, won’t go down. Sinnott and Garcia will stand out even more this season. Brooks return is big. Young players have a chance to shine, lockett and Avery. Trying to say this- our offense, under a full season with Howard and new additions/returning talent, could honestly see the same production. Players need to step up and they have to mesh with new players. But our culture and coaching staff can hold it together. Hope for a return to the Big 12 Championship.
