  1. Shawn porter definitely stepped his shoe game up since tank roasted him about it on Twitter 😂

  2. Wanted to listen but can't do the swallowing it's gross in my ear maybe it sounds better on a speaker idk

  3. My mom did not want me to box either, i had to respect her wishes as a kid. Beat everyone up in the neighborhood too 😂. At 34, I now have ambitions to coach! I just love the sport

  4. Stop it shawn.. even non boxers saw the holes in his game. I’m not sure if you turned into an ass kisser because showtime didnt let you on to their telecast, and didnt give you any good seats, but please stop being a hater and stop backdooring pbc the program that FED you when you couldn’t sell a family dinner, stop running to crawford trying to kiss his ass and tell him what deals to take. Your ass kisser

  6. Shawn had some good analogies. Loved the reasoning and highway analogy. Great way of understanding the pressure of the moment

  7. Liver shot feels like you are being choked by someone and can't catch your breath for like a quick five seconds. Boxers are warriors because most try to hide the pain and as a boxer too, I can't see their face trying to hide that pain. It's no joke. Different ppl recover from it differently.

  8. Hosting one of the most racist channels out there with beyond ridiculous takes on top of that. Wishing you all the best Shawn, sign me out

  9. The more Shawn speaks, the more you realize how Great of a fighter he is & how Great of a trainer Kenny is. 💯 Respect ✊🏿

  10. I'd never heard of Skip Brown before but I'm convinced he's one of the best guests the Porter Way has ever had. Very well-spoken, inquisitive and shows a deep respect for fighters. This man would elevate the podcast if he were a regular co-host. Just a couple of notes for Shawn: 1) as always, you do an amazing job of giving us insight into the mindset of world class fighters but b) try to watch out for over-interjecting with "uh huh's" and "yeah's" while the guest is talking. I think it's great for normal everyday conversation because it shows the speaker you're following but it's distracting on podcasts. If you listen to seasoned interviewers, it seems as though they've almost trained themselves to process what someone is saying while being completely silent. I know you think of media as a craft and just wanted to offer some constructive criticism to give you something to work on.

  11. Respectfully ..Ryan v Tank 2 would be unnecessary…the outcome was no different from the "Rollies" fight..in fact it was worse…Rolly only got dropped once..but…both were grossly outmatched

  12. I like blue blood let’s keep it real when when he started his channel he knew nothing about boxing this is OK however as he’s quickly learn the sport in my opinion

  13. Ryan was was a very gracious in his defeat I’ve never heard much on that hopefully they address it in this podcast

  14. When Oscar beat Chavez Sr. I know for a fact he had death threats. I remember when they fought. The Mexican fanbase HATED Oscar and ostracized or Oscarcized him for beating their hero.

  15. DBN Dontaes Boxing Nation has become a racist rant for views.
There’s no room for that in boxing!
Big ups to Porter way podcast, great content, great hosts and great show!!!

  16. My buddy Los and I were talking about the Davis/Garcia fight, and Los said it plain 'he's young, we have to make allowances for him being young'. As Shawn discussed, Garcia had been living in the sun, and then he got in the ring with Davis, and the rain started. That's tough! So, like, I think he quit – but I feel like I understand why he quit, and I get it. The real question is can he allow this to humble him, and build from that – or is he going to lean into the waiting arms of his fanbase, and start yapping again.

That's the thing about lessons, you have to let them in.

Great podcast, Shawn, thrilled to have found it. You have a great heart, and a gift for imagery.

  17. After the Spence fight the more I hear Shawn talk the more I dislike his mindset. You’d think Shawn beat a handful of Hofers and is a boxing guru. That take at the 9:039:15 minute mark is just overly cringe and delusional. I’m not even hating when I say this, TPWP just isn’t entertaining or informative. It’s like a ham & cheese sandwich. It’s ok, nothing special. That’s this podcast. It’s bland and with Shawn’s acting like the Harvard professor of boxing all of a sudden it’s nearly unbearable. And his co host Anthony is the poster child for what a casual is
