Q.
The player’s ball is stuck in a tree. What are their options?

A.
The player may play the ball as it lies, OR,
They may go back to their last place played for a penalty of one stroke, OR,
They may take back on a line relief, by choosing a reference point on a line back from the flag, keeping where the ball was on that line, and dropping within a club-length, no closer to the hole, OR,
They may drop a ball within two club-lengths of a spot directly on the ground below where the ball is at rest, no nearer the hole.
