With some of the world’s top-ranked players in hot pursuit during the final round of the U.S. Open at The Los Angeles Country Club, Wyndham Clark didn’t flinch. Clark shot an even-par 70 and edged out Rory McIlroy by one stroke to capture his first major championship.

The USGA is a nonprofit organization that celebrates, serves and advances the game of golf. Founded in 1894, we conduct many of golf’s premier professional and amateur championships, including the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open. With The R&A, we govern the sport via a global set of playing, equipment, handicapping and amateur status rules. The USGA campus in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, is home to the Association’s Research and Test Center, where science and innovation are fueling a healthy and sustainable game for the future. The campus is also home to the USGA Golf Museum, where we honor the game by curating the world’s most comprehensive archive of golf artifacts. To learn more, visit https://www.usga.org.

  1. Congratulations Clack you played well. just imagine sacrifice lamb ( Rory) won it. we won't able to hear the end of it.

  2. I dont understand the hate against any other golfer. Game is hard. If your consistently winning then your doing something right. Good job 👏 Clark for the win. But if Rory or Fowler won it would've been amazing too. Solid golfers. Great play all around. Good field turned out. 😊

  3. A U.S. Open course should have a winning score of par,or around par. LACC doesn't fit the bill for a U.S. Open course

  4. Such a terrible LA crowd however, what a spectacular 4 days for Clark with Rory on his tail. Well done champ

  5. This course favored big hitters. DJ and brooks all lost quite a bit distance. this guy had ball speed near 180 with 3 wood which was insane

  6. guys, did he just improve his line of putt on the 3rd hole? isn't that a penalty?

  7. Rory saying “I want to win a major more than anyone” was such an annoying statement glad Wyndham got it done, looked it meant so much to him congrats

  8. Am Scottish and love my golf I have to say this guy was incredible so many up and downs to save pars etc and he’s never been in the position in a major a few big guns were falling away where if anyone was going to you’d have it as him falling away not a bit of it …..I love this tournament as the rough is proper rough a yard or two of the fairway the balls sinks into I also think ( maybe because uk courses are less forging than a lot of USA courses ) that the bunkers should be a bigger deterrent you shouldn’t be rewarded for hitting a bunker to make it an easier next shot people aim for bunkers as it’s an easier leave …… but any way what a fantastic ending to this tournament this guy Held his nerve big time and didn’t panic so well done to you 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

  9. Solid play today and interesting that he's the only player not using a tee on the par 3's

  10. Congrats Wyndham Clark. Your mother is proud of you!!! So happy for you and It is a well deserved win. You played marvelous golf 👏

  11. I find it to be the typical hypocrisy of major sports. Pretend you care about the fan and young people and then cap attendance and jack up the prices so the young and families can't attend. Genius by the most brain-dead leadership in Sports. Worse US Open environment in history and it has nothing to do with the quality of the course.

  12. This guy was unflappable. He was always going to miss a putt or two and get a couple bogeys coming down the stretch but his demeanor and response was impressive. That lie in the rough could have destroyed that round and he could have unraveled. The fact that he got bogey on that and saved par on the next plus that demoralizing shot on 14 to get on in 2 won him the tournament. I was hoping Rory would get back on the podium with the amazing game he has but he did nothing, despite his tactics and execution being almost flawless. Missed that one short birdie putt or it's a playoff.

  13. This dude was so impressively solid on Sunday. Like a rock, all the way to the tap in at 18. Hopefully he continues this stride. Be fun to see a new name in the hunt.

  14. Dude wins the US Open and the first thing the woman running up to him says "that's so much money". shes a keeper
