Sorry did your commentator say Lance is a great driver!!!!!! If Alonso keeps smashing daddy boy; ppl will ask why is he in the team? Apart from the obvious.
What a tosser Spammers is. Russell beat Hamilton in race pace last year. Russell beat Hamilton in points. Russell was the only Mercedes to win a race. Hamilton sycophants are pathetic. Russell is the only driver to pass verstappen for the lead on merit this year. And he blew his engine in that race.
Checo seems to have the subpar side of the garage. Max’s side has a plan and he executes it. Sergio seems like he’s a lil bit more towards Charles’ camp.
I’m not sure that the RB is THAT fast or if it’s just Verstappen is THAT fast. Clearly the RB is the best car on the grid but I’m not sure how OVERWHELMINGLY dominant it really is. If it really is the most dominant car Olin F1 history, or even close for that matter —Perez should be sacked at this point, because missing Q3 AND finishing off the podium in back to back races should be impossible for even the most pedestrian F1 driver.
I been saying this about Russell since last session. I did give him a little break because the car was so bad last session. But it shows he's not even close on race pace to Lewis and is making few mistakes.
I think George was emboldened when Lewis had a poor 2022 season, and by his win in Brasil. But when Lewis get a whiff of a possible podium, he finds another gear, that George doesn’t have yet. GR right now, is trying too hard.
Saw a joke online. Perez saying: “they call me the tire whisperer, but I can’t seem to connect with them at the moment.” And Max saying: “I shout at the tires, they listen.”
Personally I think GR is super talented and will eventually most likely fight for a championship. He’s just still young and a bit immature. I do think he’s the future of Merc.
I honestly don't think that george is waiting for the car and the team to grow around him instead of him pushing himself- i think he's a really good driver, and he's used to fighting for whatever he's got, and he's very, very good at showing himself better than he is at times. I do think that hamilton's bad season in 2022 disturbed his self-perception, and probably thousands of others, but while in terms of one-lap pace he's not that far off and usually matches hamilton, it's just not the case when it comes to race pace.
Agree with the panel about George. Bide your time. Over a season, if LH is comfortable within the car, I’m sorry, but George will not match him on race pace. Qualifying/one lap pace they will be back & forth, but not in the race. As you guys have said, keep his head down, be patient and just wait, it will be ‘George’s team’ soon enough.
I agree with Matt, AMR would have been much closer to Max without brake and fuel issues. There is a lot of hope in this race when looking at the big picture for Aston. Only finishing 10 secs behind when having to pull back and not push, could have been 2-5 seconds back and that is a HUGE improvement in chasing RBR.
