In the past year I have changed clubs one too many times. Going from Cobra, to PXG, to Callaway, and I’ve even had a Srixon set in between. A lot of this was not custom fit or catered towards my game and skill, so when I learned there was a good club fitting center nearby me at the Elite Golf Academies in Lagos, I just had to book myself in for a session.
My main concerns were the fact that I had gone from 1 inch lengthened clubs and 2 degrees upright to a full standard set. But besides, that, I also was playing a shaft that may not have been perfect for me.
As I want to get better at this game, and have a few more good years in me, I decided that I didn’t want to question my material, and club fitting is the one way to take that doubt out of it.

Welcome to “Bobs Golf”, a YouTube channel showing off some of the courses around the south of Spain, exploring ideas to get better at the game of golf, and other random golf stuff.
I play about a handicap 10’ish, depending on the day. Watch me break 80 more often (hopefully) and generally improve my game. What works for me, will likely work for nearly anyone else, and I’ll make sure to share all tips and tricks along the way.
