   Agreed, Mark Stone should have won the Conn Smyth. I think they gave it to Marchessault due to being an original misfit. I think Stone will be nominated for Masterton. He missed the last 1/2 of the season due to 2 back surgeries and then scored his 1st game in the playoffs finished off with the hat trick.

    Lee Versage was one of the guys that got axed? Fuck. I’ve been listening to that dude since he was covering 67s games on Rogers 22 back in the mid-90s. He’s one of the best.

    Not happy that Simmer and Lee were let go like that. Loved listening to them on the radio for many years. They both deserve something good coming their way after this shitty news by an employer who makes record profits. Once again, its profits over people. Fuck Bell (and Rogers for that matter). Please switch any internet, phone, TV, etc., services that you have through them. There are way better priced alternatives out there and Bell (and Rogers) do not deserve your dollars. Great show lads, cheers!

    I love the way York described how people practice to the point of compulsion. I’ve explained this very same concept to my son. It’s not normal to be as good at hockey as Sidney Crosby is. It takes a certain personality.

    All the players, in any sport, that are elite, all have that in common. They have an insane level of dedication to the smallest details of their game. My son plays basketball, and in the world of basketball, they call that “Mamba mentality”, paying homage to the late, great Kobe Bryant. You have to be OBSESSED with your sport to reach those highest levels.

    Some people rely on god given talent, but that will only take you so far. And that’s a possible explanation for how some guys are so good in Junior, but never become great once they go pro.

    York said it. If u don't win here it's tuff to fill seats. That's why I think having a Ryan Reynolds was a better choice. Nothing wrong with Andlouer but things are pretty unstable right now. Goalie? Is D going to be better? Injuries? Who's going to manage the team? It's a hard league to compete. A celebrity could have really helped sell seats during the hard times

    My Theory on why Marchessault won the Conn Smythe is the Hockey Writers wanted to make it difficult to re-sign him and keep everyone in Vegas together. Stone and Eichel are both on long term contracts, but Marchessault is entering his last year of a contract before UFA.
