Rating of 125?! Damn must be a tough course! 😜
Love your content. Playing off a 17 now but your videos always remind me how simple/reachable improving can be.
Those greens must be incredibly easy.
Hey Adam. Do you play as a single a lot? I'm wondering because I'm seeing of hate from people who don't like getting paired up with singles. I've been playing for 20 years and have been added to a group as a single a lot. I've met a lot of great people and had some great times. But lately, there seems to be a stigma around singles. Let me know what you think.
Thanks
I’m a SwingTweaks customer. I’ve sent in one video. The advice and drills that were provided to me have been working great. It’s so easy and convenient. I got 100% personalized advice for a crazy good bargain. I will be a return customer. Thank you and your channel for suggesting them!
If you want to teach me some course management, we can go play Point Grey 😅
Great attitude out there.
Some days putting feels like the hole is smaller than the ball, other days feels like you are two putting from anywhere 😅
I'm currently 13 HC and I play alot with single handicap and + golfers and if I'm honest golf doesn't sound as fun. They're always so upset with a bogey and if they hit a few bad shots early they feel they have lost the round. I think I can get under 10 this year I just need to stop being greedy on good rounds. I had two holes play the other week. Currently looking at a sub 80 gross round and I had a nice par 5 and easy short par 4 left. After a great drive leaving me 260 down hill on par 5 I hooked 2 balls OB ended with a 9. Then final hole 7 off the tee 😢 tried smash one. I know a wedge and wedge gives me a nice 2 putt and a easy par on 17. Then I would feel easier on final tee box maybe play an iron.
wish I was not that good … at the moment i'm terrible. Cool video
It's not when you get to play regularly, my mom was a single handicap golfer because she works at the golf course, and she got to play with club members all the time.
I have much better swing than her, but I'm lack the opportunity time and money to go out and play golf nowadays.
It's pretty hard or impossible to improve when you don't get to play a round for months.
I used to be a 9 handicap player before I got into college then my game went to shit since.
Tough course
Yet another gorgeous track
i think the biggest key to your play on the course is you don't really blow up a hole, or blow up multiple holes in a round. its all very steady golf.
That swing don’t look single digit 😅👏🏻
You're basically the definition of an ugly but effective swing. Proves that it's all about what works for you not about being 'perfect'. Good video!
Adam, you and Mistah short hitter are the most relatable channels for what the average person can achieve if they think properly and work on their short game.
Have you tried to make your backswing more steep with your irons? I can guess that they will become more precise by doing so. Or do you think of your technique as something written in stone never worth to touch? Curios
Based on 50+ of playing, with lots of single digit players, the main difference between my index 18 with a 5 index is, they rarely have a "trainwreck" hole, let alone 2-3 per round. An occasional double is about the worst score they tend to post. One of my regular playing partners is an 8, and he rarely misses a fairway…which pretty much eliminates big numbers.
The sports psychology that you preach on this channel with comments like "the ball doesn't care how it got there" have been hugely helpful for me to remain level headed and give every shot respect. Finally broke 90 this past weekend and credit you with helping me with course management and my approach to dealing with frustration. Thanks and keep the videos coming!
I really enjoyed this content ! great work.
Love your attitude Adam. Thanks for the videos!
I'm usually shooting between +1 to +6 and this is very relatable
The one thing I’m jealous about is your putting. How do you gauge your distance control for each putt and set up before each round? Is It just a feel thing for you or do you have a check point?
Those greens looked so pure. Looks like you had perfect weather here too, have to just breathe those days in and be grateful to be out there.
When you back in San Francisco, buddy?
The best skill of a single digit handicap golfer is eliminating double & triple bogies. It’s not that we necessarily make more pars than a 15-handicap golfer, it’s that we do a good job of not letting one or two bad shots lead to a double or triple on the scorecard. I tell this to all my double digit handicap buddies.
As someone who plays McCleery a lot and always looks over at Marine Drive and wonders what it would be like to play there this was a great video to see. Honestly a lot of the holes look almost the exact same. I imagine it is probably a little better maintained etc. Thanks for giving us a look at how the other half lives.
Love your videos and your take on golf. Just by using some of the tips and playing smart I broke 90 last weekend and shot a personal best of 87 on a pretty hard course. Keep it up!
Still waiting for the android version of swingtweaks! I'm signed up for the beta
"That's a quack" is my favorite line from this video hahah
You could proberably become a scratch golfer if you remembered youre playing golf and not baseball
I honestly hate your swing lol. great content nonetheless
6400 yards on a course rating of 70???
I love having found your channel after watching golfsidekick, keeping that zen mentality and not letting the ego control every shot. Makes me humble knowing that no matter how long you can drive it’s still more important to know your miss and keep up the practice with the flat stick. You’re an inspiration Adam 🤘
Are you a Canadian?
I'd love to give you some lessons to get you to scratch. Got the potential
That's an insanely beautiful golf course
Unbelievably ugly swing. But good job.
You make the game look so easy haha
nothing has hurt my golf game more than lessons 🙂
I'm a member at marine , when did you come here?? I wish I could've seen you around
My handicap says I’m an 8 but the money game players only give me 2-3 shots. I played with a couple actual scratch golfers who gave me tip throughout the round and I shot -4 under. Playing with a good Caddie and I’m sitting pretty -6 under. I’ve startEd to realize I need more course management than anything else in my game.
The reality is: the better you get, the worse you think you are…
Discount code oh Adam made me LOL
Man thats one of the ugliest backswings ever but holy it works!!
Shorten your backswing
