  1. Well done indeed ,, what a hell of a putt that was to win ,,, I see that McIlroy fell flat on his face again ,,, to be expected when he's ( McIlroy ) in contention on Sunday ,, only a fool would bet on McIlroy in the upcoming U.S. Open ,,

  2. The proudest moment for me was Nick not asking for a ruling on 18 during regulation play. He did not want to win that way. The entire commentary team was stunned but I wasn’t. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  3. Long time coming , but what other way could you have had it.
4th extra hole , an Eagle putt to win it, not too mention 72.5 ft .
Great for Nick Taylor, lets not forget Tommy Fleetwood who showed great sportsmanship his reaction summed everything up. His time is getting closer.
Great for the CPGA and the PGA !!! Fantastic for Canada !
Also the reaction and commentary by Jim Nantz and the others who called the tournament and witnessed someone spectacular.
As Lee Trevino said if this doesnt put this tournament event up there with US Open British Open PGA the Masters then it should be needs to be .
Canadians love their sports their golf and support as it showed again .
Congratulations to Nick Taylor the putt heard around the Nation of Canada the Contenient of North American around the world .

  4. What a day of golf. If it had been anyone else but a Canadian I would have been pulling hard for Tommy. This is an iconic moment for sure for Canadian sports Couldn’t be happier still emotional watching this Monday morning.

  5. So proud of the way Nick kept his composure and persevered. What an amazing performance. Way to go .

  6. Historic event! ⛳️🇨🇦⛳️🇨🇦⛳️ Congratulations 🍾Nick!

  7. He have me cheering as bad as I ever did for Woods, I was jumping of joy for Him, how bad ass to win with that shot. It will be one for the books after the 4 playoff win like that, is simple put it AWESOME

  8. 14:37 🍕 & 🧺.. haha I hope he was taken out to a nice restaurant in Toronto to celebrate his historic win! 🥩 🍾

  9. 16:24 great comment and question. I thought Nick was going to cry .. he was speechless! Don’t thing it’s sunk in yet (pun intended)

  10. He threw that historic golf ball away into the crowd! Wouldnt he want to keep that, and give it to his son, Charlie? It’s a historic ball. I guess he was in shock and wasn’t really thinking.

  11. I can’t believe how quickly his Wikipedia page was updated literally two seconds after he made “the putt”

On June 11, 2023, Taylor holed the longest putt of his career (72 feet) for eagle on the fourth playoff hole to win the RBC Canadian Open. He became the first Canadian citizen to win Canada's national open since 1954, and the first born in Canada to win it since 1914.

  12. Congrats to Nick… but to compare this to anything remotely hockey is a bit of a stretch. But I think it just motivates kids who are already playing to continue. It won't make many new kids pick up a club… parents usually encourage that and golf is not a cheap sport. Not every country (especially those with smaller populations and fewer tournaments) can step up in every sport. PS – Laudry and pizza sounds good LOL

  13. I live in Abbotsford, I have played Ledgeview. Imagine 2 guys from the same golf club, One of them wins the Open and the other gets tackled by security.

  14. I had Denny McCarthy last week to win $1900 and Tommy fleetwood this week to win 1100 😖

Congrats nick. Always been a fan

  15. You want to learn about what class is when you win, you want to teach your kids resiliency and you want to see humility please watch this press conference the best i have ever seen. Proud to be Canadian today!!!! Thanks Nick i am more impressed by your human behaviour then your win! 17:27

  16. As someone who has anxiety I can see him breathing through it . What a moment ❤❤ well done Nick made Canada proud and made history

  17. Not since my friend and home town golfer Jerry Pate won the US Open his rookie year on tour have I been so excited watching a golf tournament
