Good to know that golf is to be associated with human rights violating filth.
Just like EVERYTHING else it's about the $. The Saudis showed them the BAG 💰 😂😂
NOW Tiger looks REAL STUPID for NOT taking the Money 😂😂😂😂
Actually, I think is not good for LIV…it’s possible LIV doesn’t exist after this season.
And Norman didn’t even know till 4 minutes prior to the announcement and wasn’t mentioned as part of the management going forward.
Golf is a professional sport like any other professional sport. The bottom line of professional sports is to make money. The PGA golfers, I'm specifically pointing out is McElroy, Woods, Thomas, Speith and a few others, talked negatively, I'll even go so far as to say nastily about the LIV Golfers that made the decision to leave the PGA tour and play for the Saudi backed golf organization. Those golfers who made the move to LIV golf and exercised a fundamental element of being an American, which is CAPITALISM. Those PGA golfers mentioned earlier are now in a bad situation. They're angry and they certainly should be. Not at the PGA, not at LIV golf, not at the golfers who signed multi million dollar contracts along with franchise deals with LIV golf that will net them continued millions in the future. Those PGA golfers should be angry with themselves. Those PGA golfers are right now at this very moment contemplating their very stupid decision. They aren't necessarily hurt about the money or the betrayal by the PGA. They are hurting because they understand that all over the United States, actually in every country that golf is played, the men and women sitting in their living rooms talking about what an incredibly dumb decision those golfers made and how they are laughing at them. That's happening because of the crude jokes pointing directly at those individuals. Golfers are primarily made of men and women who enjoy an element of respect that's afforded to them outside of their prowess as an athlete. Those PGA golfers have lost possibly forever that respect from the fans because of their lack of understanding that golf at it's base level is about Capitalism and money. Hence, the decision just made by the PGA to merge with LIV golf. The next part of this story is sitting back the next two years while watching McElroy, Woods, Thomas, Speith and other PGA golfers eat crow and turn into complete hypocrites.
Cam's going to be able to go at the Majors without the stupidity of the PGA happening.
Moanahan and Kelly will now have to relinquish the stoppage on the Liv tour playing the majors otherwise the merger will be off.
The question is how much? there's definitely money involve in this agreement, and somebody will go home with hefty pockets 😀
Breaking news boycott has started.
The huge success of Adelaide definitely made an impact
Can’t see this happening to be honest, lots of twists and turns in this one. PGA is run by the players….wait and see.
would not be surprising to learn that Tiger and Rory were in some way involved with this. Both have been silent for a couple of months. Would explain the mental difficulties that Rory has been going through. Supposedly been under negotiations for about 7 weeks, the week after the Masters.
The guys that left and took the money are laughing all the way to the bank today 😂😂😂. TRUMP called this a year ago. He said take the money or you will only get a handshake next year when they merge. He said that last summer. It's ALWAYS about the money unfortunately.
LIV should ban Tiger,Rory,Thomas,Horschel
Looks like the money – LIV won – which will help PGA and LIV golfers & fans.
Well we went from one monopoly to an even bigger monopoly. Not sure anything has really changed.
💰 💰 💰 …more? 💰 💰 💰…more? 💰 💰 💰… 😂
No surprise that the gummy shark Norman was behind this disgraceful outcome. The greatest choker in golf history, unhappy with his ever-increasing irrelevance took the ragheads blood money. He- then splashed around enough of it to convince some already over-paid hacks to back him. Rumours are that the raghead royal family have gifted Norman Yemen to build the largest golf course on the planet. The bones of countless innocent Yemeni women and children will be ground down and used for sand traps.
Paul Gow is wrong. It’s not LIV that won. It’s the Saudi Investment fund that is investing in the PGA. There won’t be a LIV Golf. The players who joined LIV a will need to reapply to rejoin the PGA and DP Tour.
I think the PGA Tour, after increasing prize funds as if by magic, may have found themselves with a cash flow crisis. They found extra money but lost sponsors (eg Honda had 20 years as a sponsor and left) and TV ratings were in the toilet, which doesn't sit well with sponsors. Time will tell, but money talks and people walk … the PGA Tour is no different. The Saudis already invest around 160 billion a year in the US, sponsor a lot of sport across the globe and I don't see calls for the likes of F1 or the EPL to ditch them.
