It’s the week of the U.S. Open, and LACC is set to take on a starring role. This is the first time Los Angeles has hosted the U.S. Open in 75 years, and we’ve been counting down to this one. The course is new to the majority of the field, so what can the guys expect? Elk & Diane are joined by long-time LACC member and founder of the clothing brand Johnnie-O, John O’Donnell, to talk about the course, the challenges ahead, if this will play as a “normal” U.S. Open set-up and where the scoring opportunities lay. He also touches on the fashion and the Johnnie-O brand ambassadors teeing it up in golf’s third Major of 2023.

Good insight there from Johnnie. Congrats on picking Taylor for the Canadian Open! The 69 year wait is finally over! My only winners this year so far are Koepka at the PGA and Gooch at LIV Adelaide. Going with Koepka/Scheffler/Hovland/Smith as my 4 picks for the US Open this week, I think this course sets up better for Cam Smith than the PGA because of the wider fairways.
