Ogilvy saying he doesn't have "any judgment about it" makes him undeserving of being quoted at all. When players are as flat in their sentiments about such a massive story, they expose their cowardice or their amoral view of life.

The best European players leave the European tour as soon as they can because the financial rewards are so much better on the PGA. No one ever complains about that but it does diminish the standing of the European tour. Hopefully this merger will go someway towards restoring the Euro tour as far as prize money and world ranking points are concerned.

I really feel bad for those pga members who were offered handsomely to sign up and play for the LIV but has to turned it down out of loyalty to the pga tour. Rory's game I guess was tremendously affected at the time when he was at the forefront of the squabbles with LIV. Friendships were lost and respect was shattered among these fine gentlemen. Play awesome golf gentlemen.

Many current sponsors of the PGA have Saudi investment money in them and the pressure to make a deal was too strong. In the end money talks and principles walk.

Yeh, smells like bribe money has been thrown at the PGA executives by LIV and again, blood money wins again. What a disgrace and the only losers is golf overall. The public will show their feelings and golf will feel the wrath of the world and be prepared for a decline in golf and courses closing by the hundreds.

Geoff Ogilvy would be my first pick in a dream golf foursome. He is always interesting to listen to. PIF own LIV. PIF just bought the PGA and DP (or are about to) … or the very least you would assume will be the major shareholder. It is not unusual in business for a competitor to start up and throw money around to poach people (PIF/LIV) and then the incumbent (PGA) to pay their own people better in defence. Then one firm buys the other and those people come back into the combined organisation, sometimes with a some animosity for leaving in the first place. In the case of LIV players, they happened to make good investment decisons, got in on the ground floor and made a killing. They will be the big winners out of this ultimately. Now, none of this addresses the ultimate hypocrisy of the decision. When PIF/LIV were competitors to the PGA, they were the big bad with the source of the money heavily questioned. Now that they are partners (Owners?) they're using their money for the good of golf! According to Monahan. If you can't beat them, join them appears to be the new thinking.
PS1. Secretly hoping (insert uber rich person name here) funds a new independent tour and all the top names go there! Rory / Elon …. have a think about it. The Tesla Tour!
