Sam Ryder admits he was a bit blindsided by the planned merger of the PGA Tour, LIV Golf, and the DP World Tour and is digesting it like everyone else, but believes the PGA Tour has players’ best interests in mind. #GolfChannel #PGATour #LIVGolf

Sam Ryder ‘not envious’ of Rory McIlroy’s position after merger | Golf Today | Golf Channel

Just cos McIlroy pissed and moaned at every opportunity doesn't mean he should be front and centre of this announcement
Rory was right the whole time. Signing directly as a worker to Saudis is different than a simple backing. Saudis own you if you sign on their piece of paper and they pay you directly, vs a league being backed by Saudi money…hell the whole world is backed by them.
the pga is now half owned by a family that cheers on beheadings, murder, rape, and the imprisonment of journalists. why?? why would the pga sell? if EVERY "great" golfer went to the saudis and tarnished their own brands, the golfers in the pga would be seen as great humans, stellar human beings, and i guarantee you that the american people would have supported them over the "blood, murder, death golf brand".
The fans as a whole love Rory so he will be fine.
pga management threw rory under the bus… merging isn't the problem. the way the management decided to do this is clearly the issue. they should just get rid of the whole board. they just proved money >legacy.
😂
Rory should be compensated financially for this behavior from the boards' end.
Sounds like a sellout to me.Somebody got more rich..
What happened to 9/11 and blood money? Not as bad if it’s only backing!!
Rory was punished with a 3 million dollar fine for not playing. Gruesome. Merger was the right thing not punishing a pga veteran for not playing. And the Brooks victory put LIV on the world map of golf.
Rory told all the PGA players not to take the money…..he'll be lucky not to get chinned in Canada this weekend 🤣🤣 His lack of loyalty to his European friends that joined LIV has been mirrored by the PGAT who used him as a puppet in the merger negotiation.
I think people should give mcilroy a break.
He made a decision based on his position and it was the right one for him at the time.
Punishing workers for living under a bad management situation is repugnant.
Rory was held up as the ambassador of the PGA Tour and was the most well thought out speaker, etc., etc., and all things anti LIV, this will be his scarlet letter, let the whining begin by the PGA tour radio talking heads
Switch off people. I keep picturing a future where nobody attends or watches The US Open in a few weeks. Fan power!
Rory and others chose themselves not to to LIV. That's on them. Phil is exonerated and this may go down as his best leading achievement for the game of golf. He was absolutely villanized by the PGA
Rory should step back from the political stuff and just concentrate on his game. The sweetest revenge he could possibly achieve is to win another major. US Open coming soon.
Here is typical Golf Channel, they interview Sam Ryder. Who they heck is this? Is he actually inside the top 150?
Does the scumbag traitor Phil Mickleson have to give all that blood money back?
The PGA guys that took the highroad will be fine. The ones that slung mud, well, good luck!
Mr George
He no good operator
