What adjustments did the Miami Heat make to win Game 2 of the NBA Finals in Denver? How did they attack Nuggets and score so efficiently? This film room study details Coach Erik Spoelstra’s adjustments in Game 2 — including inserting Kevin Love into the starting lineup to go bigger — Jimmy Butler’s playmaking, and Bam Adebayo actions that freed up shooters like Duncan Robinson.

  1. As a neutral fan id argue that denver lost this game rather than miami winning it. Miami got a big lead early on, denver overcame it and even got their own lead, and it took 5 bone headed plays and fouls in the fourth to change the momentum and even then they only won by 3. Denver is aight. Tho dont get me wrong miami played well.

  2. Insanely good video again bro 🔥.Ive watched enough basketball in my life for two lifetimes, but everytime I watch one of your breakdowns, I feel like a casual again. Amazed how much I learn everytime I watch one of your videos

  3. Respect to Duncan Robinson. Imagine being benched virtually a full season and still have the confidence to do what he do when his number is called in the playoffs.

  4. Kevin Love being a used as a defensive presence, in a finals, in the year 2023. Yeah, Spo is basically everything you could ever ask a coach to be and more.

  5. I’m hoping Miami wins it all, but shooting 49% from 3 and only winning by 3 (after shutting down everybody but Jokic) tells me they’re just simply out-gunned here.

  6. He is tentatively calling this series for Miami, which is possible if the Heat keep up the 49% from three point distance, Duncan Robinson and Max Strus keep playing at their Game 2 level without being exposed and abused on defense like they were with Gabe Vincent in Game 1 and Jamal Murray sticks with his World B Free imitation. The Heat have made an amazing run, but they won the worst game Denver has played in months by a whisker. Either the no call on Love's hard foul of Jokic in the paint or the whistle of KCP on Vincent's pure flop on the other side of Adebayo's moving pick featured here as examples of Erik Spoelstra's genius could have sufficed if called correctly to make Miami 0-2. I'm confident that Jokic's onslaught will continue to be checked only by bad calls and that Kevin Love's defense will not make even an arguable difference in another game. I'm glad to get to enjoy an extra game of the Nuggets' championship season.

  7. I hate the NBA for not giving this man coach of the year, disgrace man

  8. keep love in the game and this is a series spo is smart if something doesn't work he adjusts accordingly hopefully the 10+ years spo's been in the league shows

  9. Playoff jimmy is about to make an appearance, he’s been coasting for a while now to conserve energy, which he learned from the finals with the Lakers. He started the playoffs strong like how he does in the 1st, now it’s the finals aka 4th quarter.

  10. This is not a big deal. In the modern NBA, with 50% three point shooting, any bad team with a good shooting night can beat a good team in a close game … Not a big deal, if it was a blow out, then it would have been a big deal

  11. in game one Miami i don't think Miami had the size to stop Denver. In game 2 by putting another big men like Kevin Love it helps with their size issue. Basically Miami started with two bigs to help defend against a bigger Denver team.

  12. MPJ needs to step the fuck up and catch fire one game. Hasn't done it all playoffs. Gotta have a Fred Van Fleet third star catch fire if you wanna win the finals.

  13. Basically Kevin Love has high IQ and should play every game as many minutes as possible.

  14. But Denver is still so much of a threat though only losing by 3 points, even after 2 fouls were given for free to Miami.. there was one where the guy just tripped and they called a foul even the commentators pointed out it was a bad call.. anyways.. it was a win for Miami and I ain't complaining about it.. this series is so good to watch everything is a nail biter..

  15. Heat dud a great job and they earned their win. I mean they've shot like 50 pct from 3. This still feels like it was decided by the refs though. The jimmy out of bounds play, that one where adebayo and obviously not kcp is fouling Vincent……

  16. It does help that heat got helped by several ref mistakes, jimmy out of bounds on a 3, ignored goaltend, normal out of bounds call..
