From what I know ( I am American- I really don't care about football), Anthony Taylor has a reputation of being extremely incompetent, but since FIFA and UEFA are " corruption on steroids", they love incompetent referees because they do the dirty work for them. This is clear as crystal to anyone who has no vested interest in football.
