The GMs and Owners not going for that. They don’t want their players to get hurt in a exhibition
That's definitely an idea that should be presented to adam silver. Especially sense hea all about expanding the NBA globally.
I think that’s actually a good idea bc the international stars ACTUALLY wanna play a real game during the all-star game. So not only would it be amazing talent but the mindset of the international players might actually force the US stars to actually play.

All they need is to do a 1 on 1 tournament. It's simple, it's easy. Winner gets a grand prize sum of money, charity donation of their choosing, and a championship belt

It's not a format issue, it's an effort issue. Second only reason they like US vs International is because there's alot of good talent internationally at the moment but wasn't always like that

No. It should be east vs west or NBAers against g-leaguers.
They should say the winner gets 1 million cash—or to their charities. And every player must play—1st team versus the other first team and second team versus the second team. Two quarters a piece…The game, as of now, is unwatchable. They are a bunch of guys just shooting easy shots with no defense.
East vs West and the winner provides home court advantage in the NBA Finals. That's probably the easiest way to make the game's outcome matter in this era.

This change would actually save the all star game… Players will genuinely have something to prove…right now I would put my money on the international team…Giannis,jokic and donsic in the same team? They would destroy poor Americans
I don't think it's a good idea most NBA stars are not going to want to play in the exhibition game and risk getting hurt with some try hard people
Sounds good but what if only international players get selected? Or only USA players? This is a game that rewards players for their achievements during the season as well as letting the fans select their favorite players to put on a showcase. We have to face it these players make so much money playing basketball today that it’s not worth it to them anymore. They don’t need to showcase their talent on this platform anymore with there being so much media everywhere all the time. Back in the day it may have been your only chance to make a name for yourself on a national stage so they played harder. If you are making $40 million a year do you really care anymore? Guys were lucky to make $2 million back in the day and quite frankly looked forward to receiving the reward money for winning the game. I just think that this is just what it is and as long as it doesn’t effect how much money the players and organizations put in their pockets it won’t change.
Make it like NHL. 3 on 3 half court tournament

the NBA and NFL should just cancel the games nobody watches them and the players don't care just give them a week off
They should change it to first team versus second team. Their pride will be on the line. Can't let the B team beat you, and if you're B team you gotta show you should have been on A team.
It would save all star game. Pride would force everyone give their best..usa players wouldn't want to get humiliated in their home.. international players will try to give the message that the World has surpassed Usa in bball.
