The Maple Grove girls golf team is headed to the state tournament for the third straight season after dominating the field to win the Section 5AAA team title. The Crimson shot a two-day total of 622, a whopping 81 shots ahead of runner up Forest Lake. Kathryn Van Arragon of Blaine dominated the individual competition, shooting rounds of 66 and 68 to win by 15 strokes. Amelia Morton of Maple Grove was second, followed by her teammates Maria Contreras (third) and Julia Contreras and Payton Anderson (tied for fourth). Park Center’s Alysen Blomberg qualified for state as an individual after placing seventh.
