Sergio Garcia discussed his Ryder Cup exclusion disappointment | Team Europe

  1. Why would he be disappointed he knew the score before he took the money. If he feels so strongly about Ryder cup why did he go to LIV

  2. I used to not be a big fan of Sergio, but ever since he moved to LIV it seems like something changed in him as a person for the better. I really respect the way he has handled the last couple of weeks between the PGA championship and now Ryder Cup. Major props Sergio! I am now a big fan.

  3. The European Ryder Cup brand is seemingly diminished without the players that built it. The US Ryder Cup team will remain intact and strong as they waited to see how LIV Golf would play out. It does seem as if the European Ryder Cup team has scored an own goal!

  4. Would it make sense for him to play rider cup for nothing and possibly not make the team or take the money that liv gives him ? That's not that tough a decision.
Unfortunately for the euro this go round are in big trouble.

  5. Someone needs to instruct Sergio that it's best to say as least as possible. When answering the question, all he needed to say was, "I love the Ryder Cup. It's the best Americans vs the best European. If I'm not included, then I stay home and root for the Europeans". That's it. Don't need to say another word. Don't need to sound sour. DOn't need to gripe. DOn't need to blast anyone. Don't even justify you signing with LIV. It's nobody's business but yours.

  6. Sergio and the others who went to LIV should accept there are consequnces. Saudia Arabia is one of the worst human rights violators in the World, and are white washing their crimes with LIV. It's like staring a new NFL franchise with Mafia money derived off of their various crimes.

  7. I think he reacted preety much as you should react. A lot of comments on simular yt videos discussing Ryder Cup line ups are salty AF. Most are coloured with the argument that they knew what the signed up for. They knew that when they chose LIV they would't particapate in the Ryder Cup. But, they did not know. They knew it would be a possibility but it was not set in stone when they signed. However, I think the Ryder Cup lost all of its glow en shine because of this. The America team has qualifiers like Brooks who CAN play (and he should). The captain CAN pick LIV players. How is that even remotely fair? Europe shoot itself in the foot here and all because the European tour is nothing more then a lapdog of the PGA. There is a hypocritical sauce being poored over this Rydersteak. From all sides. "They took the Saoudi money!" "What about 9/11? How could they do this?" Such a bullshit argument when the PGA tour has enough Saoudi sponsorships going on. The PGA (Jay monohan and co) are mad because of LIV and the seperation they provided. Whilst the PGA themselves seperated itself from PGA of America to make more money. Andf they have. They did not pay the players enough though and kept in in their own pockets for years and years. Now LIV comes along, and the prizepools go up trough the roof. It is al so hypocritical. 9/11 has got nothing to do with it at all, and if u think that's not the case, you should not watch the PGA tour too. "LIV is nothing but an exibition match league" uh…. Phil and Brooks came in 2nd at the Masters. Brooks won the PGA. Those golfers can still play the very best level and win. Phil even won the PGA championship 2 years ago. I guess if you are a golffan, you don't give a f* about where players play, you want to see the best vs the best. Period.

  8. Simple- if Ryder cup isn’t the best vs the best— it’s a bullshit handpick tournament with no meaning
