Have The MAJOR GOLF BRANDS Been LIEING To You For YEARS?

  1. Their is some technology diffence in the clubs. But not enough for the price they charge alot more to cover what they are giving to the pros!!!

  2. Can u do a video on the new Wilson range please. I have the new driver n 3 wood and hybrid and amazing and value for money

  3. I played a Titleist 975J with a pro force 75 shaft and hit it miles.
I might have to take it out to the course today and see!!

  4. For every average golfer them yards don’t make a difference considering the price😮

I currently use the taylormade m4 driver and have been wanting a new one but personally think I would only gain 10/15 yards max and be £500 out of pocket. Would rather spend the £500 on lessons and become a better golfer overal🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. I use a 905R and I love it. The head isn't too light so I can always feel the weight of the clubhead. I've hit new TaylorMade drivers and there's not a noticeable difference in length. Also, the sound and feel are great. Don't fall for marketing.

  6. 905R over TSR just for sound. Reshafting my SLDR irons, got a SIM 2i ron UDI, switched the 915D2 for a Stealth Plus, not gonna change my DA62 Smoke utter and debating wedges. I just wanna play good golf and need the equipment to back me up

  7. I think it depends on the skill of the golfer. I use old Adams A3 irons and I tried a new Srizon ZX4 & Ping G425 the other day and it was night and day difference to me. So I am saving for some newer irons.

  8. I think a more realistic choice is to consider a 1-5 year old driver vs the latest and greatest. It's not hard to find a 1-2 year old model, new, for half the original price.

  9. I think the spin rate is due more to the shaft than the head ,put the pro x in the 905 and see what happens

  10. This is why I went with the cobra radspeed over the aerojet or ltdx. They all performed roughly the same but the looks and the price is what did it for me.

  11. You no they are ripping people off when the best they could come up with is stealth 2 . They should do a 2 year run instead

  12. I bought a 905R new in 2006. Stayed in my bag until last year when I bought a used TS3. I do hit the TS3 better but not by much. It's bloody impressive how the 905R can still hold its own

  13. I love buying the older used clubs, but I also like going to the big stores and trying the new units.

  14. I absolutely LOVE the Aldila NV. I used it when it first came out and I have it in my new PXG driver as well. Such a great shaft in today!

  15. for me, based on your results, I'd probably go with the older bore through 905r but put a softer shaft in it. difference in forgiveness is negligible for most of us. not only that, I would drive myself nuts with all of the adjustments to loft/lie/face angles. 905r

  16. these are all hit well, but what happens when you hit one horribly whether high or low or toe-y. you pay for the forgiveness and adjustability.

  17. James, I have to agree with what you've done, I did very similar a few years back & for about $500 I was looking at about 8mtrs more.

  18. Love to see this comparison with the same shaft…. I'm confident the 905r would match better.

  19. I don't believe brand new golf clubs would make my game much better than used (2-3 years). The worst bit on any golf club is the organic bit of crap that is swinging it. Especially amateurs like most of us swing so inconsistently that new clubs are not worth thinking about buying a new club. It's the vanity that takes us back to the golf shop time and time again.

  20. I gave up golf many years ago because I had such high unrealistic expectations. I now play with 1980s MacGregor blades 1-SW and a persimmon driver. I now love playing golf. I play off 3 but I don’t care about score, the score is just an outcome. I enjoy the game and playing, trying to play, the correct shots. Equipment is fine but play what makes you smile James 👍⛳️

  21. Do this with a putter, PLD V PAL for example. I mean it's the same idea right? But I have seen no one do it. Out on the green and get Chris to pull some stats.

  22. How much though is the difference in technology mitigated by the skill of James ? ie in the hands of the mid to high handicapper would the difference be relatively higher, so more in favour of the new club ?

  23. These tests are all a little silly. A pro golfer can use any club from past 20-30 years effectively- the gains will be small (2-5% if guess on average- but that is critical to a pro golfer – any small gain is massive).
For amateur golfers the change in equipment (especially woods) over the years is significant- mainly because the newer stuff gets much more forgiving. I’m not hitting as consistently as a pro so will have 4 or 5 bad drives a round. With the old clubs I’m punished severely – with the more recent clubs (past 4-5 years I’d argue) maybe only 1 of those shots is really penalised and the others go fine. That is a huge.

  24. A proper fitting for a new driver I'd say most will gain a lot I'll play the newer stuff thanks 👍 but always interesting…I think mid high handicappers would benefit massively from a proper fitting imho

  25. Yes, and you could drive a 17 year old car, watch a 17 year old tv, wear 17 year old clothes…..fairly pointless comparison, entirely down to personal choice/budget. Not loving the 'clickbaity' tags on the videos either tbh, no-ones been 'lieing' to us….

  26. Ok … When you’re on the Golf Course… Please try a Golf Hole that you can use the Fairway… It looks like you are Yanking golf shots into the Trees … Yikes

  27. I am sure it depends on how serious you are about the game and reasoning for playing, are you gambling, trying to be a pro, weekends only…. I am a weekend duffer that just love playing for fun (22 HC) for me I tried buying a game years ago but now just go and enjoy it. My set it Ping G-400 and my old set is Taylormade burners.
