FIRST THINGS FIRST | Nick Wright say Mac Jones looks like clear lead dog among Patriots quarterbacks

  1. I'm optimistic 😃 it can't be any worse than the offense from last year. I won't give a season win/loss number but I'm hoping that Mac Jones can pull off 4150 yards through the air that will silence the doubters

  2. Adding Hopkins to a team with a qb who cant throw past 10 yards isn't the answer. Zappe would have more success with Hopkins than Jones

  3. People are sleeping hard on the Pats, we went 8-9 last year with a defensive coordinator as our offense coordinator, no real number 1 receiver, and no offensive identity. With Bill O'Brian he is a very good offense coordinator, we have made a few upgrades on offense, nothing super yet like a legit number one receiver, but we have gotten JuJu who is a little bit better version of Meyers, we picked up Gesicki who Is a real number one receiving Tightend, (he had a down year last year due to new scheme and they got Tyreek Hill) and with Bill O'Brian we will have an actual offensive identity even if it's lots of running and trick plays, that will be way better then what last year was, and our defense will be even better then last year. Not saying we are super bowl contenders, but watch Mac will have a very good year and everybody will see him as a franchise QB again and I bet we will get to 10-7 making the playoffs

  4. I don't understand Nick Wright's obsession with hating on Mac Jones for some reason… why does he always crap on him but yet he gives excuses to guys like Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields but yet he has a sophomore slump with Matt Patricia as your coordinator and suddenly he's terrible?

  5. Folks really need to wake up about the Pats. With the state of affairs of the Patriots, they still had a chance at the playoffs. Loosing to the Packers, Bills the second time, Minnesota, the conversation is different. Mac is in the playoffs and all is better looking. With all the defensive upgrades, and offensive upgrades, this team will have a shot a winning the division. Brady did it a talent pool that wasn't considered the best and still got it done. Don't sleep on Mac Jones. He did make the Pro-bowl as a rookie.

  6. Please, "one or two picks" and Mac is benched? That's ridiculous. Also, it's ridiculous to think that Hopkins is still that dog. He now has a redundant skill set to Parker, and JuJu may be more versatile. The team's problem is not lack of receivers, but coordinating them better. Better schemes, game plans and play calling – that's what the offense needs.
