John Middlekauff reacts to Rory McIlroy being fined $3 million for skipping a second designated PGA Tour event. John discusses why this could become a problem for the PGA Tour and how skipping events shows that Rory doesn’t have the same level of commitment as Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler. He also discusses how Patrick Cantlay’s slow play is affecting the TV viewing experience and could cause the PGA Tour to lose viewers.

  1. Yes. He doesn’t get enough credit for the bad things he says and does because he’s been a darling of the game since he was 4.

  2. Watching Cantlay move his feet on every shot was like watching Sergio when he used to adjust his grip 30 times before hitting each shot. Painful.

  3. I don’t dislike Rory but he’s propped up by the media way too much as a player and as a wannabe intellectual. He deserved more criticism across the board
