  1. That is honestly some of the best defense I've ever seen. I really hope he thrives this year!

  2. Sad that Rune didn't fix his muscle cramps jet, the finals would be walk in the park for him…

  3. Alex Death by a Thousand Cuts DiMinaur! I love watching this man practice his craft so mercilessly. He will wear you down and force you to go for reckless shots because you are so tired and want to end the point fast. Also, it's like a Australian version of Michael Chang.

  4. That took some time huh, finally the demon manage to dig deep into the surface,a little bit more of those and he might be closer to home!

  5. Paul had just played a very long and tense semi….let's see what happens next time they meet

  6. endurance stamina won the game…and minar so determined for this first atp title which he thoroughly deserves

  7. Paul got to the final very tired after his long semifinal. He had only 75% gas in tank for this match.

  8. Alex came prepared with inspiration and consistency and got his well deserved reward. Love Tommy and i'm glad to see him have success on the bigger stages, i hope he keeps this warrior mindset going.

  9. Well done to De Minaur. Goes to show that consistency, stamina and depth of shots can you take far

  10. Great tennis from both. You need to hit angles against both these guys but they kept hitting through the middle of the court and it became an incredible war of attrition. Fun to watch but I think Paul needed to angle de minaur to have a chance to get it past him

  11. So many shots where any other player, with the exception of maybe Alcaraz, he hit over the top of the ball when pushed wide instead of squash shotting the forehand or slicing is incredible.

  12. These guys are good but in a GS tournament they usually only reach 4 rounds the most. Only The top rank players can reach quater, semi and finals

  13. Great match 👏👏👏👏👏. Feel for Paul. But he had a great week. He may have to get more aggressive. Alex was on fire 🔥. Good win for him 👏👏

  14. As an aussie, I know it's unlikely that Alex will win a GS but that is all okay, he will end his career as a very wealthy young man with plenty of trophies. 99% of all ATP players in history never win majors. Life just asks us to do our best, which is what Alex is doing. I'd love him to make the top ten. Would be hard for him to stay there with his game but I love his work ethic. He is far more talented than any of us here. An excellent player. He has a slight chance of winning a major if he is able to put himself into that position as the great players fade in the next few years but only a slight chance.

  15. Judging by the footwork, it seems Tommy was already tired at the beginning of the match and it's very comprehensible, considering he faced a very tough oponent as Fritz in the semis for such a long and difficult encounter. In that sense, playing a rival as athletic, fast and unstoppable as De Minaur is a very big challenge for someone who had a hard SF match.

  16. I was watching and then got recommended De Minaur's trophy lift at the top of the screen at the end of the first set.

  17. I've been thinking that 2 years ago, De Minaur decided hey I belong in the top 10. He's about the most improved player showing the tennis world he does belong.

  18. "stunning", "sublime", "ridiculous"….could the commentator stop it with those constant hyperboles?

  19. Who's the female commentator? She sounds very biased against Alex. She often quick to jump and praised Paul yet kept quiet when Alex wins a point.

  20. Great tennis from both players! It’s been fascinating watching de Minaur’s athletic abilities and stamina, so reminiscent of Lleyton Hewitt. Great finals, Alex. Congratulations! So well deserved.

  21. All credit to De Minaur. He battled a twin in Paul. Both tenacious, determined and so competitive. Good job Alex!

  22. In the middle of watching this youtube suggested I watch a video about Alex de Minaur's trophy lift and celebrations lol

  23. De Minaur is such a shocking player! No idea how he won here or is in the top 20. He just threw away a set from 4-2 up with 2 break points to go 5 – 2 up against Fucsovics. Lost the last 4 games with no response cause he has a shitty attitude. Shocking player
