  1. I am so lucky. I live in Ghana and watch every SINGLE English Premiership game for the grand total of $30. Legally through SuperSportSouth Africa

  2. I thought the team sets the price for the tickets in the stadium. Because each stadium is different. The football world doesn't want to change. Saka just signed a $300,000 a week, to play a game. Why do football teams charge a transfer fee on players when they are sold.

  3. I pay 20e a year after a 60e lifetime subscription fee and have access to everything. When I say everything I mean globally whether its live TV or everything from every streaming platform out there.

  4. The fans are the ones who drive the TV subscription prices. They only charge what they charge because enough people will pay it.

  5. The moral of the story, the UK and the Prem need to pull their heads out of their asses and stream ALL MATCHES, ALL LEAGUES legally with a reasonable subscription

  6. Totally 100% agree w Simon. It's too easy to blame agents. Nobody likes agents, but they're only jumping on a gravy train set in motion by player greed. I put my money where my mouth is: I refuse to line their pockets by way of PL subscriptions, merch, season tickets etc. PL should agree a salary cap. If the players don't like it they can all sod off to Paris.

  7. To be honest, I don't think it's that expensive. i can watch all the matches for Β£50 a month

  8. Yall made fun of Florentino Perez and Allegri when they said football was going in an unsustainable direction. You know what one of the main key points of the Super League was ? Salary/wage caps!!!!!!

  9. Simon is delusional. So if players stop asking for wages and fans stop asking for signings, Pl Would take a lesser money from broadcasters and broadcasters would reduce the subscription cost. What sort of Marxist eutopia are you thinking of there.

  10. Any truth to the rumours that Coca Cola and Pepsi are both looking to sign Arteta in the summer? Apparently they were impressed with his bottling skills

  11. If premier league put a salary cap then all good players would go to Germany, Spain, etc… Good luck

  12. U fans got what you paid for, you paid to get exploited and you did.

Don't like it stop watching, the owners will soon change their minds on prices.

  13. I live in Australia and I pay $10 a month for Optus sports. I get all the EPL and La Liga.

The same issue exists with Australian rules football. At the most 4 games a weekend if you don’t buy Foxtel which is far too expensive. It’s a problem with all sports it seems. Cricket is also in a similar situation sadly.

  14. Simple issue here is people pay all that money but cant watch every game of the round live like international viewers can. Simon ignores that. Uk viewers pay for substandard product.

  15. What if premier League say screw sky sports and all these promotions? Cable TV is behind us. The new generation is all about streaming. Let's create our own streaming platform and charge our own prices and this way you can bypass all the sky sports nonsense and give football fans world wide 1 price

  16. Oh my God, is Simon really suggesting that the concept of pricing out consumers is somehow a myth!?!? Now I can see why this man failed at running a football club! HE'S AN IDIOT. An idiot who swallowed a bloody dictionary, and an idiot who learned how to make lots of money from old rope but an idiot nonetheless.

Why is he using cheap match tickets as an example when anyway every stadium has a capacity limit?!? Stupid! I don't think there's really any limit on the amount of football fans who might purchase these TV packages if they were more affordable. Simon really is an IDIOT. Anyone who is even vaguely interested in football could potentially purchase a TV package. Comparing this possibility to match-going fans is ridiculous anyway since attending matches involves travel, along with other expenses, which does not apply to people watching the games from the comfort of their own homes. A number of fans will always want to attend games, while an even larger number of fans are going to watch most (if not all) matches at home. So that was a crap and fallacious example.

He also keeps using terms which apply to himself. One that springs to mind is; "he's disappeared up his own backside". That's you Simon.

  17. He’s absolutely right. Skysports is going to have to get the skysports news girls to start showing a bit more flesh because I really do feel like I’m being ripped off by Sky for that sports package.

  18. Do what they do in the states. Make bt sports, ESPN, nbc sky bid on a package of games. This is all driven by owners, don’t blame it on the players. If man city want to pay $100m transfer and 20m a month for Harry mcquire then that’s on the owner, not on the player. Again, Pl has become a playground for the wealthy to piss away revenue. They have to police themselves.

  19. ITS,TOO LATE TO STOP THE ABRAMOVICH BILLIONS & MAN CITY BILLIONS GAS & OIL PAY TO WIN TEAMS WINNING IT ALL.
    NEWCASTLE NOW TOO.
IF AFC WIMBLEDON HAD THE,SAUDI KING & ALMOST A TRILLION POUNDS I BET IN 5YRS WE WOULD BE STINKING UP THE NEIBOURHOOD TOO.
BEFORE ABRAMOVICH CHELSEA WEREXAN FA CUP TEAM ONLY THEN WON IT ALL GOR 10YRS PRETTY MUCH.
NOW CITY PAY TO WIN NOT JEALOUS JUST GAME BREAKING FORGET FAIRPLAY RULE BRING IN THE USA SPORTING TEAMS WAY OF SALARY CAPS.
    THEN wed have some football.
Imagine Lakers & Boston Having a billionaire come in & say buy up all the best players or New york Giants on nfl doing the same.
It works WELL & it would wotkrk in foolsball too but the corruption is Bad so whoed vote for no skimming?
    Salary cap Time

  20. It all boils down to greed. Money, money, money. This is what is spoiling our game and ruining clubs, not to mention overpriced players.

  21. Yawn… GBP 3 billion from broadcasters annually and your telling me you can't afford to hire a development team to create a streaming service to sell directly online as a subscription fee… Cut the middle man. Job done.

  22. For me, the worst thing that happened to football was the introduction of agents to act on behalf of lazy players who want to go and play golf whilst their agent negotiates their ludicrous contracts, at the same time taking a percentage of the deal for themselves. It adds an extra tier of bureaucracy and makes these agents into millionaires themselves. And who pays these agents? I've heard it's the club as part of the contract negotiates but if the agent is acting on behalf of the player, why isn't the player paying for that? Also, why does a player on Β£250,000 a week need a bonus win payment for winning a football match? The levels of renumeration for players at the top level are obscene and I agree with Simon Jordan that it is the greed of the players, agents and managers that are causing this problem in football.

  23. How come Simon never talks about reducing the amount of money billionaire owners make? He never goes after the ones that actually make the most.

  24. See, commit crime against the government or big organisations big jail terms, against people hardly any … the law is there to protect the wealth ie β€œthe Law”

  25. hmmm, don't know if I agree with Simon re: the viability of dropping prices to combat piracy. I can't think of a soul who still uses napster / limewire (definitely showing my age!) since the inception of itunes (and the $0.99 song).
