In this video, Adam goes over how to achieve a tour level backswing by using the towel drill. By doing the towel drill, the arms and body will be more connected in the backswing. Too many amateurs rely on lifting their arms to complete the backswing, leading to a flying trail elbow aka. disconnection. If this sounds like you try this towel drill and see the difference instantly!

  1. i struggle with opening up my hips early in the backswing and i think its causing me to come over the top leading to me pulling shots. I have tried to keep my right knee (as a right handed golfer) more flexed during the backswing, but the only way ive achieved this is the thought of twisting my feet into the ground during the takeaway. Is there an easy way to keep the knees more flexed? because i am not sure if this thought i have has detrimental effects in the long run

  2. This is by far the best golf channel on YouTube. The way you teach is hands down the best. These young men are lucky to have you teach them and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

  3. I was introduced to golf when I was 3 y/o hitting golf balls into a pond on a local course with my dad. Time goes by, I’m 27 reconnecting with the sport here.. Studying the heck out of Porzak day in and out. Shot 85 3 weeks into my pursuit.. No gimmes. If your looking to put the work in. This is undoubtedly the channel for you 🙏🏽

  4. I hated the towel when I was learning.

Then when I got better, I graduated to the 1 headcover and hated that even more.

I think I dropped 8 strokes that summer.

  5. I like these videos with “average” golfers. They’re relatable. A lot of the golfers you show are absolute studs.

  6. I feel with you – I always feel terrible restricted with something under my arm pits. But good drill

  7. Hi Adam @porzak golf
Love the videos, they are extremely helpful

could you please just clarify with the towel drill post contact with the ball should the towel still be tucked under the armpits or can the towel drop after striking to complete the follow through.

If i try to keep it tucked in the follow through my follow through feels a bit restricted?

    Thanks your the great content

  8. This is exactly why on irons I had power but felt like I over swung all the time. What feels like 3/4 to 1/2 swings at times now I’m carrying practically 2 clubs higher than I was at a full swing. Never knew irons where really a sawed off feeling. I’m at 135 pw and I keep it simple 10 yard increments up the bag. Usually can hit a fade and a draw on command 132 or so pw fade 140 when I have the draw working. 3.7 handicap only played since Covid 33 years old self taught through videos. Play predominantly on a 6600 yard course 71/130. Usually don’t comment on your channel too much but since I’ve started watching you since about November I’ve dropped 12 off my handicap that quick. I have a consistent under 80 game now. I get the occasional looks at high 60s 69 being my lowest to date but I haven’t shot over an 81 since November. I can’t remember what I watched that started to make it all click for me but I know it’s been watching these
