I choose my new wedges… even though I didn’t really want to put them in my bag! I test and review the Titleist Vokey SM9, TaylorMade Milled Grind Hi-Toe 3, Cleveland RTX6 Zipcore and PXG 0311 Gen 6 Sugar Daddy II… to decide which are the best wedges in the world…

  1. Vokeys are like transit vans
They're the best just because they are
Other vans may come along and you may drive around in a vivaro for a while but you'll always end up back with a transit

  2. switched to cleveland’s from vokeys about 6 years ago, and i think swinging rebar has better feel thank vokeys now. the new rtx 6’s are ridiculously good though

  3. Wish you would have shown the price of each club. I have a feeling the Cleveland is about $30+ cheaper per wedge

  4. I’ve just put the black RTX6’s in bag best ever wedges they have ever done! Went 50,54&58

  5. I've been back and forth with sm9 and t22 . Finally settled for the t22 .
I think it's because I like the s400 shafts better than vokey wedge shafts

  6. I’ve got the milled grind 3 raw face and they are brilliant in and around the green very versatile stopping power attack pins – totally agree the fuller shots you can get less forgiveness distance control / feel isn’t the best .. but I think you adapt to your clubs .. they don’t swing themselves

  7. Not for one minute did I think you would choose anything but vokeys. Have you tried the cobra snakebite wedges? Don’t often see you trying out cobra clubs, they tend to be slightly cheaper aswell.

  8. Have the last version of Zip Core and they work crazy well in wetter conditions, crazy awesome spin too. Absolutely love them. 52°, 56°, 60° all mid bounce.

  9. @peterfinchgolf. You need to try the bettinardi wedges. Only wedge ive found that took the vokeys out of my bag. Now I bought a few sets of the 3.0s and the 5.0 are their newest rendition. But also know a few people I recommend them to that took vokeys out of their bags as well!

  10. I tested the Cleveland RTX6 Zipcore and ended up liking the Mizuno T22 much better. Felt better, got more spin, and just overall worked for me.

  11. Yo Pete! Play your Japanese irons and prove they aren’t wall hangers. Credit to Stephen Jackson for asking. You made a whole video on them and won’t play them. We are dissatisfied.

  12. Pete I feel like you missed one that really surprised me and that's the mizuno T22 I would like to see you give it a go. As much as I hate it (I'm a big titleist guy) the mizuno feels so much better and the look at address is so nice. I got rid of my SM9 for a trio of them.

  13. What do people think of the Callaway Jaws Raw? Designed by Roger Cleveland… do they stack up against those in this video? Currently looking at new wedges, I have Callaway MD4's rn

  14. Where I live in Canada the SM9's will set you back $339 PER WEDGE. So a grand plus taxes is another $130. So over $1100 for 3 wedges??? Sure Pete. Lemme get right on that.

  15. i LOVE my RTX 6 zipcores. it was down to that and the vokeys for me, but i'm not good enough to get everything out of the vokeys and i can't understand that 15 different grinds they have, so the clevelands were just fine!

  16. I tried those Cleveland wedges last year and didn't like the feel. You can't go wrong with a Vokey.

  17. Great video, Peter, as always! Please feel free to send me the Cleveland wedges! Please? I can't afford good wedges and I need them! Lol.

  18. Vokeys have never been the highest spinning for me. But Ive played them for 15 years because I know exactly how theyll perform and Ill get the tightest spin dispersion each and every time I make the contact I should.

  19. I really like the Callaway Jaws high toe. Very similar to the TaylorMade, but I found them more forgiving.
