I like zorko but thats a grub act.. good vid mate
Zorko should’ve been given a month – eye gouging is a dog act!
May aswell ban the tackle. It's getting ridiculous
If they're going to outlaw tackling… They need to call building the ball properly
zorkos should be 2-3
I think O'Meara should get off with a fine – there is no way that is medium impact. But I'm a Freo fan, so I would say that.
he slowed down for sicily
Kinda feels like dangerous tackle has morphed from 'tackles that have distinct and deliberate dumping motions with impact to the head' to 'literally any tackle where the guys head hits the ground, irrespective of the context of the tackled/tackling players direction, momentum.etc' and i dont really like it. This weeks spread of dangerous tackles were just tackles, not really double motions or slinging motions – just guys tackling other guys and thanks to other factors someones head hit the turf.
i dont know about the laird and spargo ones, they both had an arm free and you can just refer to the clarry incident earlier in the year
spargo should get a fine for staging, you can see him flick his legs up so that the dump tackle would look worse. If spargo actually tried to stay on his feet like the afl should encourage then this would have been a good tackle.
Getting ridiculous,,the o,meara one shouldn't,t even have been a free kick..what's going on ,,over reacting
I know the head should be protected but the game is heading towards tackling only on two feet .
Spargo jumped and turned his body. It's clearly staging and playing for a free kick. It was actually holding the ball because he had sufficient time to dispose of the ball as he spun to get out of the tackle and had one arm free. Extremely bad umpiring and very inconsistent with the match considering the Dee's did a couple of worse tackles than that and the Dockers were called for holding the ball with no report.
Zorkos a dog how can an eye gouge be the same punishment as a tackle
"Butters probably didn't know Pickett was there"? Very strange that he'd slide on his knees and punch the ball forward instead of just picking it up.
No idea if it deserved a fine I just thought it was a very odd explanation you gave.
Good pickup on kosi picket. Junior Rioli had a similar moment on the weekend where he was tempted to drop the hammer but just got off suspension 😂
The inconsistency shown by the MRO this week is appalling. Questions need to be asked, when the perpetrator of a careless tackle leading to a risk of concussion, gets a fine or a week's suspension, while the recipient can get 2 weeks or more out of the game under concussion protocols. The majority of these careless and dangerous tackles are coming from seasoned and experienced players. Makes me wonder how serious the AFL is to removing these arm pinning, sling tackles from the game.
There is no consistency in their rulings
zorko should have gotten 3/4 for that its an intentional act
Getting suspended these days for taking a player to ground! Ridiculous.
If you watch the Spargo tackle in slow motion you can see the exact point he throws himself lmao
Curnow not getting a week is shocking inconsistency. Not only did he dump tackle while planting his legs to trip Rowbottom, he dumped him over his head which risks a lot worse than a concussion – possible neck injury.
Ed Curnow gets nothing by dumping a player on their head, but laird gets a week due to Neales momentum, with free arms. Hmm
