Koepka Brothers Shine for Smash GC in Orlando: Can They Seal the Deal?

Brooks Koepka, said it’s a ‘cool feeling’ to have his parents watching him and his brother perform well together for Smash GC in Orlando, as he eyes up his first professional home state win at the latest LIV invitational.

Team Smash remain two clear of Torque GC in the group standings, after round one leader Sebastián Muñoz was unable to capitalise on his -9, 62, on Friday by carding an even par 71 in round two.

Koepka was one of only four players in the field who shot a bogey-free round on Saturday as his second 65 opened up a three-shot lead, heading into Sunday’s final round.

The four-time major winner admitted that he has always been more ‘disciplined’ the week before a major tournament as it’s the time of the year he wants to make sure his game is ‘in the best shape possible’.

Subsequently, Koepka joked with a journalist that he would not join him in a shotgun round on Sunday should he or Smash GC end up winning, as he ‘doesn’t drink during tournament weeks’.
