  1. Leinster's arrogance cost them again. The Dublin based media were saying all week that all Leinster had to do was turn up. Sexton made a fool of himself as well. Delighted for La Rochelle and O'Gara.

  2. Watching Irish media it is Leinster lost ROG won…. What about La rochelle and its players? And " Leinster the best team in Europe.." ????

  3. Rugby is a full contact sport & Leinster touch rugby approach doesn’t work when up against teams who physically dominate

  4. Guys and girls. Please step back from them being a Irish team for 5 minutes 🙏 and see that they are fancy Dan's beating everyone all season every season until the finals 😢 they're missing something in that team . Yes people will say they missed Johnny. Johnny played in final last year . They will say ww missing Ryan when went of . They'll say the Ref . They'll have lot more things to say .. BUT IN THE END NOT Mentally strong enough . I personally thank Leo for taking us so far . But like many managers in different team sports he has taken us as far as he can ! They are gone back to the leinster of the 2000s when they also scored lot of trys but choked in big games !

Even BOD said in his book…. until Michael checker came in and made them Mentally tough.😢😢😢

now we need someone with new ideas and Aggression. 😢😢

  5. I am a 53 years old Leinster fan…
1 this team isn't Mentally tough enough for the big games.
2 We are losing real fans because of the show aspect to our games now.. music blaring can't talk to a person beside you it's like being that an American football game..

if we need to be blasting music out and have someone shouting on the speakers to Get them chanting for the team we are in trouble 👎

3 we actually need at least one pundit to stand up and say we are not good enough.. instead of saying we were unlucky and then telling us how great we are for the 95% of the games we play next season until the big games when we choke again 😢😢

  6. interesting that none of the folks here mentioned the fact Leinster were constantly going past the ball, lying over the ball/player and side entry without being penalized they got away with murder.

  7. Leinster isn't Ireland as only 7 of the players that started against La Rochelle played against France in the six nations.

  8. What rubbish . Leinster no responsibility for final. Under dogs – – 48% 52% ? . Real rugby fans knew this (final ) always had to earned. Why disrespect James Ryan who had to endure sitting out most of game , Rog you won the game but still had not happy. Needed to insult Leinster ? 35:27 35:27

  9. I did want Leinster to win that game but watching it as a neutral, how they didn't get someone in the bin first half is baffling. One incident in particular stands out where Gary Ringrose comes from so far offside he hits Botia from the back, knocks him over and then hops back into the defensive line, all right in front of Peyper. Leinster were crawling through the breakdown all first half, and then they started getting pinged for it. Peyper needs a serious review for his lack of consistency. Same applies to La Rochelle's antics of holding on to as many Leinster players as possible to stop them folding around.

Ultimately, Leinster still bottled the occasion. Their exits from their 22 were horrendous, Lowe, JGP, Byrne, awful awful kicking, terrible touch finding or else just kicking straight to the LaR backline to receive more and more pressure. They didn't compete at lineout, LaR had easy ball all day, they got chewed up at scrum time when Furlong went off and also their maul defense creaked.

Having said all that, they still could've bloody won the thing, Ross should've sat in the pocket and kicked a droppie from the 77/78 minute mark. I think the penalty wasn't on the cards, too far out, wind was bad at the lower end of the Aviva stadium.

Gutted for them but while Peyper needs to get his eyes checked, also thank you Sexton for pissing off a RWC ref we'll see again in a few months… great move there, Leinster had multiple chances to win that game and didn't have it. Well played La Rochelle

  10. The Aviva Stadium during the competition what went on within it was totally controlled by the EPCR for the weekend Finals events. Leinster Rugby had nothing to do with the functions rooms etc in the Aviva. Leinster function in the stadium is to turn up, like they do at away games. As for the behaviors, it goes around on all sides. La Rochelle Rugby management organizers should have interfaced properly with the EPCR with any events around the game.

  11. pffff what is this disease of always complaining about the refereeing when we lose! I don't know if you've seen the movie…..17 to 0 and we get hammered!!

  12. I'm a munster man and a Cork Man, no offense but Leinster could have won this game but didn't because of bad decisions and La Rochelle won the game because of good decisions, Well done Rog, Time for a change at the top for Leinster

  13. Ooooohhhh Dama!!!! Lets go over the penalties against us we thought were sus but not the ones that the sus penalties against the othe. Ooooohhhhh what did the bus arrive. Did you here Sexton & ROG beat each other and then made babies in the broom closet at half time

  14. I think having such a big squad doesn’t help. The top Leinster players need to be playing together a lot more, especially under pressure. They would get this in SA, because none of the SA teams want to lose at home and beating Leinster A team would be huge. This was mentioned before, but not listened too.
Graham Rowntree mentioned, how important match fitness is and playing his top players together helped the team build momentum. Look where Munster were at the start of their campaign, the bottom of the URC league. Now they are in a final, because the right decision was made under pressure at the end of a semi final against Leinster (Drop goal).
Intense training is most definitely not enough for the knockout rugby, and how much rest do players actually need before a major final? Players need pressure and intensity to help with decision making under pressure and they get this from playing games, not resting. Hard luck Leinster. 👍
