Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men’s game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as McIlroy, Woods, Nicklaus, and Player. The 2023 PGA Championship is set to take place between May 18–21 at Oak Hill Country Club. The reigning champion is Justin Thomas.

  1. I couldn’t have cared less about Koepka winning again. But Block was the story of the year. 😊

  2. If his storied week is NOT an inspiration I don’t know WHAT is! Congratulations Michael Block! Fantastic week my man!

  3. ❤ Michael is a reminder of what’s missing not only in professional golf, be it the PGA or LIV but in every professional sport with his authenticity, love of the game and the fun factor, not only for himself but for the fans. A real breath of fresh air that we were so fortunate to witness and remind us of why we really play the game because it’s not because of the $$$. My opinion of way LIV golf will never make it and the PGA better be careful to not follow with limited fields because diamonds in the rough will never get an opportunity to shine like it did in the past 4 days ❤

  4. This is so freaking awesome. I teared up when I watched this live. Just an incredible story. Congrats, Mike!

  5. Guess it’s been a while since Rory has had the experience of the crowd being more excited about his playing partner

  6. My man's over here like Tiger keeping the crowd quiet for the commoner Rory. 😂 I love it. Best thing I've ever seen on Tour…even better than Tiger on Saturday at Torrey in '08.

  7. Wait I didn't realize that he needed to get up and down to get the chance to play in Louisville?

  8. i'm terrible at Ball Golf. I'm into Disc Golf. But this Guy is Amazing!! Did you see His Hole in One?? Dunked!!!

  9. Wow dying at the hole turning away on the low side and drops…Block had the guts and the golf gods on his side…any easier it turns off any harder it lips out…right after dunking an ace on 15…CONGRATS! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

  10. As someone who does not really watch golf, why the hype for Block? Never heard of him.

  11. I absolutely love these moments watching golf on TV when you can hear the whirring white noise in the background, the deafening sound of silence from a group of thousands of people focused on one man, and Jim Nantz's voice setting the scene. The tension is incalculable. And oh so enthralling, emotional, and captivating.

  12. This up and down was even more impessive than the dunk hole in one at 15.This guy has game nerves of steel. And he plays fast.Give him his tour card.

  13. Good for him. Was also great to see Justin Rose and then Rory McIlroy openly cheering for him. Great job, was awesome to watch as a golf fan

  14. The stars aligned for this really good guy. He loves kids and dogs. Will be rooting for him next week

  15. One of the best things I have seen in a major championship in a very long time. Fans and support for him was just so amazing. So richly deserved. Thank you sir.

  16. and Rory knew (at least for the back nine) exactly what was at stake for his playing partner. he seemed to be as invested in this as Michael himself.

he truly EARNED his 2024 PGA Championship invite (and the two sponsor-exemption invites) he got yesterday.

  17. I would have shanked it to the right and probably hit half them on the right side. Lol. I couldn't have them all on the side of me. They'd have to move behind me. 😂

  18. Its amazing how you never know what the storyline is going to be. If something incredible like this is going to happen over the course of the weekend. The hole in one was unbelievable.
