Former Munster and Ireland player Alan Quinlan had a great day out on Saturday as Munster beat Leinster by a point in the United Rugby Championship semifinal in a dramatic tie.

  1. You guys can give some probs to the Stormers… to enter a brand new Comp and to host 2 finals in 2 years is a amazing achievement …

  2. Salty irish .welcome back peter mahoney .your thuggish behaviour will now be dealth with . Last time you were a disgrace 🤬😅in the cape .now you will be problaby dealth with

  3. Someone in the IRFU should have a word with Leo Cullen, if Leinster had won, it'd have probably netted the IRFU hundreds of thousands of euros extra between ticket sales, hospitality, etc…
Glad to see Leinster's arrogance in putting out an under strength team not paying off for them though. It's really disrespectful and if that group of players can't handle successive weeks of intense matches, we might as well forget about a good world cup run.

  4. Ooh geez what a bunch of nonsesn , they celebrated the fact that they don't have to travel which makes things very difficult.
Who cares what andy farrel will do or does. There is no way they intended to disrespect munster as you want to portray but dweba thats on him though.
Stop trying to pit fans against each other i said last week if larochelle plays leinster ill be shouting for leinster.
Talk rugby and not this nonsens thats all i listen to anyway
From me much respect to munster see you soon.

  5. Their was a coach in the 90's with a test win record of 97%. He win a World Cup, Super 10 Title and a few Currie Cup Titles who always said :
Select your best team available to win the game that is in front of you.
Kitch Christie or better known as Mr. Christie by his players

Well Heineke Meyer did not use this advise against Japan in 2015.
Leinsters coach did not use this advise in the URC competition 2022 and 2023.
But the real problem now is the huge amount of pressure on Leinster to win the Champions Cup. Pressure sinks teams in knock out games.

So the only this Leo did, is to put heavy pressure on the team against Munster and the pressure did get to them. And now out of URC they put pressure on the better team to win the Champion Cup.

Sorry for the Stormers behaviour, I agree it was not respectful towards Munster.

Just a short word on the pre match commentary in SA by old players and pundits, 4 out of 5 said Munster is in to win it.

Good luck to Munster for the final.

  6. The reaction to the Stormers video is honestly so childish. How are people so sensitive about every little thing these days. Crazy 😂

  7. Jack Carty has become something of a liability for Connacht. Even though he "won" the game against Ulster with his goal-kicking, his passing, tactical kicking and game management just aren't up to the required standard any more, sorry to say. As for Healy at Munster, whoever let him drift off into the Scottish club and national system should have a good look in the mirror. The combination of Crowley and Healy could have been the rock on which Muster and even Ireland could have built a new era. Okay, Healy didn't always light up the park under Van Graan, but the whole team went to pot under his ponderous, risk-averse coaching. But it should have been clear to anybody who's watched him over the past couple of seasons that he has all the attributes to be a world class no. 10. His ability to welly the ball from hand or tee alone is priceless. A big loss for Munster and Ireland and one we may well rue. Townsend did a great bit of business when he came whispering his sweet, Machiavelllian nothings in Ben's ear!

  8. Poor Shane all offended by the Stormers celebrating and disrespecting yet he is okay to shout for a Ftench team against Leinster. Hypocrite…absolute hypocrite. I hope Munster win and stuff it down their throat though.

  9. As a non-Leinster supporter let’s keep a level head here….. Munster were great and absolutely up for the fight but they can thank their lucky stars…
    1. that Frawley didn’t make it a 4 point game,
    2. that Healy’s delayed 3 pointer wasn’t chalked off [as it should have been] and especially
    3. that red No.2 didn’t put Munster down a man for 10 minutes early on [for hitting Connors on the face] which could well have allowed Leinster establish a decent lead.

  10. I think the more you know about this Stormers setup the more palatable their celebration will be. Remember this is a side that start of last season were fearing that salaries would not be paid and now we are hosting a URC final again. That windfall is MASSIVE for the side. On top of that I know the travel is a huge bugbear and imagine expecting to fly over the pond again for the whatmost time and the fatigue and cramping that comes with that travel then getting told you are fine to stay at home and host it rather. In SA we tend also to wear our hearts on our sleeves a bit more than I've come to expect of Europeans rather than constantly worrying about the PR side of it. If that fires up Munster so be it and we'll have one cracking match!

  11. Simple matter is that it was a great game against two excellent sides. Leo has had a lot of success from heavy rotation but next year he will need to lean more on his bigger players in the urc finals

  12. I don't understand criticism of Munster not taking their points in favour of going to the corner. They had been beaten in so many previous encounters, and were rank outsiders. As a result, they had to bring a do or die belief in themselves to the game and that is what set the tone for the over all pep in their step. The old cautious approach would not have yielded a victory. They themselves would have been the ones to suffer most if it hadn't come off, but thumbs up to them they went for it, and it paid off. What I love in sport, at any rate is a competitor who can drown out the drown out the ratings, the rankings, the odds and the commentary in favour of the ability to turn self belief in to reality.

  13. Leinster fan here. I was glad to see Munster win. Arrogant Leinster thinking they could walk it in. Good for Irish rugby to see Munster rise. Munster dominated the game, but converted their chances poorly.

  14. The criticism of the stormers celebrating having a home final instead of having to play Leinster at the Aviva is PATHETIC!! Honestly why should they not be happy about that?!

Any team would be happy to avoid playing Leinster at home. And secondly, the Stormers have a fantastic home record.

  15. Josef dweba. Definitely not a role model . Don't mind the celebration. For a poor union it is understandable. But is attitude sucks .

  16. Leinster is so ARROGANT! Thats what you get for not respecting the URC, not respecting the opposition. Even the Leinster fans thought the match was beneath them. The stadium was so empty! There were twice as many people attending in Cape Town.

  17. it's not that Munster did not deserve to win that game, it's that leinster did not put out there strongest team. That's down to Leo Cullen – he gambled and he lost.

  18. The host makes it seem that Van Graan was there to destroy Munster. The guy hates SA and just can't help it.

  19. The real winner in this is Corks own Frank Murphy, a legend of munster rugby. Penilty count 10 to Leinster 5 to Munster. He did his province proud.

  20. Well done to Munster. Deserved their victory. They played brilliantly and executed their game plan – off sides, not rolling away, obstructions etc with great assistance from the ex Munster player Frank Murphy, with the big one being the failure to issue a red card to the Munster no 2. Overall Leinster probably shot themselves in the foot by not having a bench full of the big guns, which just may have made a difference. Anyway, I hope Munster win the final. Even though they only finished 5th in the table, they do deserve some success and hopefully they’ll get it in two weeks time.

  21. I think its a bit ridiculous to suggest the Stormers celebration was disrespectful. A home final vs a trip to Aviva to face Leinster.
    Get a life.

  22. Getting worked up coz the Stomers were celebrating , what is obviously not having to fly for 24hours on economy or coach. Home advantage is important. As much as it doesn’t guarantee a win. It’s important.. petty! Maybe people should be congratulating Munster on getting through to the final, considering how they started the season.

  23. With all honesty gentleman. Love watching your analysis of the game. But I don't see anything negative about the Stomers team coming together and celebrating Munsters win… they'll be playing at home in front of their home crowd. Be more appreciative of the SA culture. Dweba…the coach and the rest of the team are just out enjoying themselves…Dweba normally has these funny celebration after scoring tries…Live your show from a SAFFa, at times I feel like you not open enough 😊😊😊

  24. To suggest Leo Cullen shouldn't be criticised is ridiculous. He arrogantly thought that Leinster would swat Munster out of the way, just like previous years. Shocking decision

  25. I'm a Stormers fan, and that video made me cringe as soon as I saw it. There is no justification for that reaction. They reacted like they just won the f'n tournament! I understand the happiness at having a home final, and not having to travel to Dublin to play Leinster… but going on like that? No man…

And Joseph Dweba, with baby in arms, shouting what he did just makes me dislike him more. Last weekend the way he spoke to the touch judge was totally unacceptable. And so was that clean dropped ball in the line-out against Munster. So he should rather shut his yap and try to do his taking on the field. His attitude belongs at the Bulls or the Sharks, not at the Stormers.

  26. Munster deserved it on the day
Ger being fair and balanced about Munster is a better joke than I’ve ever told

I hope Munster sun it now

  27. Quinlan is wrong. Murphy was a joke and the fact he is ex-Munster and they won brings his selection as referee into disrespute.

  28. Stormers are celebrating not having to travel halfway across the world in economy to a cold country to play rugby. Nothing else. No disrespect to Munster. Dweba is a hothead and would have said the same even if was Leinster coming to Cape Town.

  29. Are you guys seriously criticizing the Stormers for celebrating that they have the finals at home? What were they supposed to do? Politely clap as if they were at a golf tournament? SMH

  30. No disrespect in that Stormers video, all the celebrations are purely that they have a home final which is a massive privilege for the team to host, many interviews that Dobson has he says its all for the people of the province. Massive excitement here in Cape Town around the final and will be another big cash injection for the union especially after SA sides where ravaged by covid.

  31. Always like hearing Alan Quinlan discussing a game. His take on the ref is spot on – Frank Murphy was not the reason for Leinster losing. Leo & Stuart picked the team. They ended up having to make 240+ tackles, conceded 12 penalties (to Munster's 5), had barely 45% possession – simply put, Munster outplayed them convincingly and (as AQ said), should have beaten Leinster by a bigger margin.

  32. Dear Off the Ball commentators, That was not disrespectful to Munster or even Leinster, gents…the sudden realisation that the final will be played AT HOME, + last minute win with the drop goal if you were following tht game, very exciting, very understandable. Good analysis but pls drop the arrogance.

  33. What is this sensitive Susan on about.
I’m a Munster and I loved watching that celebration video.
    It hyped the match.
These OTB guy are a bunch of posh wankers
