I’ve said it before, but I think that using desaturation when you’re describing things not to do is genius. In many videos it becomes confusing when coaches talk about both things to do and not to do.
The problem when you try to “lay the club off” with external shoulder rotation is that it opens the club face too much. How does one avoid that scenario?

How am i supposed to see where my arms are when i swing?
yes. i become pro like swing with right arm setting.
My three thoughts right now are to keep that right arm in, left wrist flat, and release the club head sooner.
Hi Russell, really great simple lesson. I always feels that your lessons are very good to repeat and visualise yourself.
The left arm is the problem for most..they keep it straight and that tenses the back of the arm when you lock your elbow…you should keep the left hand as far away fro. Your head..this stops you locking your elbow and tensing the back of the arm
I discovered that the key to my swing is to feel that the club face is pointing up to the sky on the top. I can achieve this by either feeling the right hand holding a tray or the logo on my glove pointing up. I haven't reached a conclusion on which one is the best for me.
But the feel of the face pointing up gives me flush contact on the vast majority of strikes. Now I need to practice it so much that I don't have to focus on it so consciously.
Russell, this is key and drill I've been missing. I'm a single digit handicap senior golfer but my right arm tends to get wonky. Thank you for posting this! I'm grabbing a club immediately!
