People really need to talk about this more, but nobody ever does! It’s like an unwritten rule that us golfers just do not talk about, but today I am! Joined as always by my coach @forsythgolfperformance4234
Absolute waste of time! every and i mean every! practice putting green is faster than the greens u will play! ..We all know practice putting greens are in great condition, and much faster then the 18 u about to play…hence pointless….just work on your stroke,
I deffo need to practice beforehand so will use this on weds. Feel this is also about setting expectations and they’ve gone up with you even though you’re playing a new course for the first time. FYI PGA tour % from 8ft =52%. From 11-15ft it’s 30%.
gaz a thing that helped me massively is 3 practice strokes looking at the hole and feel like you need to get to the hole and just think that love the channnel would love a game
When I play a course I would put 3 tees down on the putting green in a straight line and use the line of the green as the line to get the ball to from each tee!
Do this drill. It’s part of the USA college drills I do when ever I practice. It’s a good habit to get into
The alternative is to mark 5 ft and 20ft and put past 5ft mark then every ball needs to pass the ball before and see how many pass until 20ft and keep the score try beat it next time
I do something similar but putting towards the fringe of the practice green. First rolling up to the fringe from about 20ft away an then reduce distance by about 3ft until about 5ft away
I keep a coloured ball in my bag for a similar drill, put the coloured ball a random distance then follow it with 2 white balls …Then do drill again so not putting to a hole but a ball
Great video Gaz. This is the weakest part of my game by far. Considered a putting lesson a few times. I’m sure it was tiger woods who said that when learning golf you should start on the green and move back toward the tee. Keep up the quality content. These N.I videos are insane 🔥

20 feet from the hole is good Gaz mate 👍👍

Great video mate. Enjoy your golfing life!!
Good video, Gaz. I read that you keep yourself fit by doing a single press-up after every time you 3-putt! ⛳️😉

I do this drill at least 2 times every week. ( when possible) and it really helps !
Proper tip…..never done it 😂
So simple yet so so clever. Great video!
I don’t think 98% of golfers get the putting green to themselves.
Still some useful tips there. This’ll help knock 15 shots off my game 😂
