I love how everything the Mervert's want to be given to Matt wasn't remotely given to Hosmer by the same people. Hos was actually hitting well when people wanted to release him despite Ross playing him too much vs LHP before Mervis got the call.
Until they FIRE David Ross..Dont expect the results to change this year…Looking now like finishing 500..may not be reached . With Ross the lets play Hosmer and Madrigal …and throw away games…
Many fans have the tendency to overreact. Mervis it's only been here one week he's eventually going to heat up and start hitting home runs and Morel is eventually going to slow down. This is baseball. I watched Anthony Rizzo for the entire month hit no home runs and hit .185. You cannot judge a player off one or two or three weeks performance.

Hey Cody, at the end of the day, the Twins are probably just better than us at this point. But at the same time, I get it, we need to hit and pitch better going forward. It is what it is. But I do agree with you on Mervis. He deserves some patience. Sandburg started his big league career really struggling. It takes time for young guys to get going. We don’t yet know what we have in Mervis and we certainly should not be pulling the plug on him. This year is a bridge year to the future and the perfect time to see what we have. And don’t compare him to Morel because Morel got a lot of major league experience last year which is paying dividends now – and he had his struggles at times last year too.

Morel is DH at best. Not future 3rd baseman. Madrigal/Wisdom have 3rd locked down. I'd keep Hosmer glove at 1st and DH platoon with Mancini/Mervis. If Morel still a Cub after deadline, ill consider Cubs window closed. Hawkins is a shit GM. Ross is garbage. Daddy Hoyer gave enough rope to hang themselves. Starting pitchers should be pissed off by this giant distraction just burning thru losses.
I believe Kilian is the poster boy for bring up a kid too soon, destroying his confidence and not being able to recover / fulfill his potential.
