His swing is so “swipey” out to in, he’s gonna fade the ball 100% of the time, that’s why he has so much spin. Putting him in a low spin 3-wood only accentuates the miss to the right. The lower spin the head, the more open it sits/more fade bias it is. His best/straightest shots were with the X. Almost all of his shots with anything but the X was 20-30 yards right, no bueno. You’re trying to hit a certain yardage to gap his clubs, he seems like a semi-high handicapper he should more be interested in keeping the ball in play down the middle. I think he should play the X in Neutral/Draw to start with then try +1/Draw and +2/Draw. When you go +1 and +2 it also closes the face as you go up in loft. One of those 3 settings is his best bet for a straighter ball flight. And he should try hitting a lower spinning shaft. He’s got there a HZRDUS Silver that’s a higher flight higher spinning shaft, maybe try a lower fligh lower spinning shaft like a HZRDUS Black. And if you add a 1/2” to the shaft like you suggested it may add a bit of length and play a tad more upright. That’s just what I think🤷🏼♂️

I ordered a new custom 7 iron from Calloway last week and it came in really fast but when I got the club out of the box it had a big crack down the middle of the shaft
