Jonathan Hood sits in for Kap and continues to rip the White Sox for their lackluster play and effort. They held a team meeting prior to their loss against the Astros and as Hoodie mentions, it was all for naught. The effort was the same. The offense was the same. The bullpen was the same.
Michael Kopech walked 6, but pitched out of many jams, however one run just won’t cut it. This team is terribly constructed and Hoodie goes after Pedro Grifol, who was a little testy pregame when asked about why having a team meeting. They’re 13-27 and it’s clear that they’re going nowhere quick.

Jonathan is doing a great job and unfortunately, he must suffer through these games with us. Both Hahn and Williams need to be fired. Reinsdorf is a terrible owner. Trade everyone including my boy Tim Anderson so he can play for a winning team.
Players don’t play like a team. I have a feeling there’s not much love in that clubhouse. Grifol overthinks it. I think he made a big mistake bringing his buddies on as coaches instead of tapping the market for the best. The bench coach was the only one Grifol didn’t know personally, and wasn’t his friend. And none of his three coaches that he brought on were anything better than assistants. How are you going to develop a team when you have coaches who in their entire careers were never promoted to the main position? He would’ve been better served looking at people who were strong and player development like Montoyo. No meetings are going to help and no come to Jesus ‘s are going to help.
Just when I was hoping to be proved wrong that the season was over. It still is.
