This is me in a nutshell. My friends call me Fillipo because I flip so much.
Love the lessons bud. Delivered well, direct and easy to follow
Been practicing for a few months after a seventeen year break and my first handicap was 9 after a seven when I was 25 lol
Thanks fella
😁👍
Hit balls yesterday and was pulling most of my shots at the beginning. I had to take a break and think about why was this happening. Sure enough I remembered you saying to start the swing with your left hip and let the arms delay a bit. I started doing this and like magic I was stringing them.
This is my fault where I have a tendency to start my swing at the top with my arms especially when I'm tired. Any time I'm not hitting the ball correctly I know there's a fundamental flaw going on with my swing. Thx JC
It is really difficult to feel a closed clubface for me. I close the face at the top and start down but I feel like I'm not over the top enough and it comes down open even if I bow the wrist. Maybe the velocity through the arms opens it up.
This channel is amazing!!! To the point and easy fixes for the swing. Thanks
AH! This is what I needed. I was going to email via Skillest about my shots going right now, with a weaker grip thus more open face, but I see it's probably due to me not incorporating my body more.
Thanks!
Where can I get that extend a shaft?
Months?😵💫
What???? Couple of months before it works !!! That's crazy, most other YouTube swing coaches promise instant results.

That's irony in case anyone missed it.
Kind of off topic. I've been having an issue with on the start of my downswing I've been getting on my toes with my back foot way to early. Any reason why or drills to correct this. Thanks, Great Channel
Great video! This is what I struggle with
Outstanding!
Great content Johnathan. I cast and trying your drills. You say that it will take a lot of practice to get it sorted but will the gradual change ruin golf rounds in the meantime. With the summer months starting is it better to work off season on this?
Another great video. Can't wait to get my practice area/net finished!
Yours are my favorite golf videos and I love how you repeatedly remind us to change requires consistent patient practice to get permanent results
I have no problem compressing my shots and I have always flipped my hands. Shoulder position needs to be ahead of the ball on the downswing to ensure you're hitting down on the shot. As long as the weight is properly transferring to the left in the downswing and ball position is behind the lead shoulder, compression is not only easy, but expected and nearly automatic
Can you recommend a key thought to start the hips/legs moving towards the target?
Besides your considerable knowledge of the components of an effective golf swing, what I appreciate most is your "brutal" honesty. It's taken me far too long to realize that reps and more reps are the ONLY way to actually integrate changes to my swing. Understanding is a good first step, but otherwise useless until it becomes ingrained through a lot of focused practice…using your drills of course!
thanks again for a great video. This is the only part of the game I need to work on- driving, chipping, putting super- my GIR only around 22% from 170 yds in. I believe my arms need to be more passive.
You are a GREAT golf instructor! Thanks so much for the help!
Hi JChown! Love your videos, they've been of immense help to me! Is there any chance you could do a video addressing a "reverse pivot"?
