Joe Molloy was joined by League of Ireland-winning manager Vinny Perth and journalist Gavin Cooney on Tuesday’s Football Show on Off The Ball.

Following Ireland’s 1-0 defeat to France in their opening EURO 2024 qualifier in the Aviva Stadium on Monday night, the lads considered what we can take from a disappointing night that showed plenty of promise, nevertheless.

  1. All I will say , can you remember ireland being so technical in 20 years and a squad like that .

  2. I don’t think Vinny understands the role of a Number 10. We did not play with two Number 10s. We played completely without a Number 10.

  3. Greece is the one we have to win it always was, did anyone really believe we'd get a result against the French, that's why the performance was magnificent, but it will mean nothing if we don't win in Athens, I seen mbapie up close and he didn't look happy at all the other night which was great for us.
