Yesterday, Mason used Son as a defensive midfielder, again, Porro being a winger.
However absurd this may be, they should have clarified this so as for Son not to be exposed to the criticism that he was out of the form and for the media and fans to be focused on his role as a defender.

Its frankly funny how indespensible Royal has become after certain sections of the fanbase booed him for not being an attacking wingback which he never was. He's literally now one of the first three names we need to actually compete.
So why cant the club let the fans decide whether we want mason to manage Tottenham or not let us decide our future and put it to the vote democratically? This way the club is together!
It is all very well going for the elite mangers, but you have to provide them with elite players – smart, flexible, technically gifted players. If you can't then you are wasting everyone's time. However, we have stumbled on a guy who loves the club and can communicate his ideas to these players. He's getting a higher level of performance out of them. Mason is enthusiastic, believes in the academy and deserves his chance.
I would like to see Ryan continue into next season and review the manager on results the club owes this guy.We might actually already have a young manager who can build for the future.As is he would 100% get my support agreed with the point that some fans may see that as Levy buying a suit at Oxfam, but It is always a gamble appointing a new manager.
Other option don't gamble if it helps Harry stay as well that's a superb side benefit.

to be fair Alasdair, the team have had a week to prepare for most of their recent games but actually looked like they hadn't trained or worked together. The main interest from me is who is going out the door. We need to change the players, or quite a few of those older ones so our mental strength develops..the likes of Davis, Dier, Sanchez Emerson and perhaps even Hojberg. Major changes needed.
Wouldn't 6th place be enough for Europa league football, seeing as the winner of the FA Cup will already finish in the top 4 and not need to accept the prize of a place in The Europa league?
Ryan Mason has done so well. The fact that nobody knew what the team was and when it was announced couldn't work out the formation – brilliant!! Only real mistake was bringing Lucas on. If we had a proper strategy and a decent DOF then Mason could well have slotted in. We need that DOF as soon as possible or we'll miss out on other manager targets too. I don't understand why this hasn't been addressed as surely they planned for "What If" Paratici left? I'm hoping they have someone lined up but can't announce till end of season but more likely they just don't know yet.
I am so pleased for Emerson and hope that all our fans take a look at themselves for heavily criticising players – esp on social media as they can turn things around. Emerson played through that total lack of support when people wanted him gone to the point now many of us may be begging him to stay. Such a great attitude, part of that South American connection and really good for the dressing room. Eric Dier – getting a lot of abuse recently and does need to be benched but…. doesn't mean he wouldn't could back next season free and able to help the team. We won't be able to replace every single player in the summer.

I'm revisiting your video Ali G to comment on the trophy snobbery by a lot of our fans and seemingly by the club. If we're lucky we'll finish in the Europa Conference position/ Europa League. I think our club needs to revert back to the "lesser" European competitions and rebuild a squad capable of competing for the top honors in 4/5 seasons time. We only have about 7/8 players good enough to play Champions League TBH. That's not enough to win it or the premier league title. So what's so wrong with trying harder to win one of the other possible trophies along the way!? When the Manchester clubs are winning fa cups League cups, the players and fans enjoy the moment. They don't just pick it up and sling it in the boot of the bus on their way home.

I'm not against Mason getting the job, I'd prefer Naaglesman, but we all know what happens when you match a high profile name with Levy, it has a tendency not to work. Give him 5 years and let's see what he can do

Love Dier as a person and think he will always be a good squad player but it’s the right decision to leave him out at the moment until he finds form.
