Despite nearly universal praise for what the Seattle Seahawks did in the just-concluded NFL Draft, there is much consternation among fans that the team didn’t do enough to address their interior defensive line, a notable weak spot in 2022.
But…. are they actually better off there than you might think?
I’ll break down the players currently on the roster and answer that question, using a couple recent examples of how they’ve handled their roster construction.

Just started watching this and i swear if i watch abother video that doesnt mention how huge signing bobby was for our run D im gonna lose it.
Considering last season, the D-line was horrible against better teams, most of those players are now gone. At least this year they have the personnel to play a 3-4. Really worried about the ILB's .

Before listening to this episode, I'll tell you all the reason that no one should panic, which is simple.
The defensive line right now, at this very moment, is already upgraded over last year's quite a bit.
So are the linebackers.
I'm not sure why everyone is freaking out actually.
Apparently people have forgotten the free agents we picked up, and the bad players were lost. Perhaps they haven't done a side by side comparison? When you just look at this year's roster right now, and compare it to last years, it's a MUCH better situation right now.
Plus, I think the rookies can play, no problem. Remember they will be a part of a rotation.

Cameron Young vs Alabama – not pretty, definitely not Carter.
Jones and Rhino 🦏 Reed will already make us better in the DL. Rookie Cameron Young will get significant playing time and he will make a huge impact. Rookie Mike Morris will be asked to play on the interior DL instead of rushing on the Edge. His speed and agility is going to be a nice addition to the DL rotation. Behind them is Bobby Wagner who is a sure 120 tackle ILB. His ability to read defenses and out players in position is why we are going to be 10X better stopping the run. Rookie Derrick Hall is a freak athlete that will be responsible for making big plays on defense and against the run. Behind them is probably the best secondary in the NFL! And Jamal Adams being heathy means we now have the best SS to help with stopping the run too!! Even Jordan Brooks getting healthy means a better defense. We have too many explosive 🧨 players to worry too much about anything!
