  1. Contrary to NASCAR claims, he broke 200 MPH at the (high bank) Texas World Speedway near College Station, Texas.

  2. My first race I saw on ABC ‘s Wide World of Sports I saw a segment of Buddy Baker winning the National 500 and I became a Baker fan for life.👍

  3. They looked like street cars because they basically were street cars. It even still has operable vent windows and 1/4 window glass still in place.

  4. And to top it off, they went 200mph with NO power steering. Power steering wasn't in cup cars until 1981.

  5. Nascar would only let them Use one 750 CFM holley on them 426 Hemi if it had 2 holley's it would have been even faster

  6. I personally wish NASCAR was about speed again. This is beautiful.

It’s even more beautiful that NASCAR uploaded the list 1970 race back in 2020!
