  1. I like Skoronski ALOT. I Like that the Bears could.take Skoronski and immediately start him RT or CENTER and end up with a top 5 in the league at either position with Skoronski. People REALLY need to stop overlooking the CENTER position. With the majority of NFL defenses running the HYBRID 3-4 defense with the dominant NTs playing over center, teams now need a ROCK at the CENTER position now than ever before. I believe SKORONSKI would become a ALL PRO & PRO BOWL CENTER. You cannot have your young QB getting constant pressure in his face like Field's had to tolerate last season behind Mustipher. I think Skoronski would be a grand slam for the Bears at OT or CENTER.

  2. In my perfect would we trade with Philly or Texas, 9 & 52 for 10 and 30, 12 and 33 seems more realistic, the jets 13 43 and kick in a late day 3

  3. Anton Harrison or Mathew Bergeron? I'm with Braggs and Carm I take a stud playmaker 1st, JSN or Bijan, I'm hoping we can trade back and stay in the teens, take JSN or best tackle left on the board after trade back, getting a pick between 30 – 45 would be fantastic

  4. Poles isn't drafting a O lineman early without being as close to guarantee as he can get.

  5. Paris Johnson just makes sooooo much sense, he already has a relationship with Fields and his arms are 36" long, King Poles and company will put everyone's brain to work and make magic happen.

  6. I love how braggs isn’t afraid to challenge hoge and his take is full of logic unlike carm

  7. Chemistry… fellas, you think Paris Johnson Jr. and JF1 will have chemistry, or CHEMISTRY… compared to Skoronski, who is a PACKERS fan, who won’t be able to beat out B Jones at LT… we are NOT taking PS at 9, so just stop… its PJJ or a DE… or JSN a long-shot, but yeah, its about LockerRoom+Talent=TeamChemistry

  8. I'm so sick of people saying "Peter Skoronski, if he doesn't workout at tackle just kick him inside at guard he's going to be good!" Okay him playing guard is not going to fix our right tackle problem! You're drafting a tackle to play tackle! Sheeezz

  9. Skoronski didn't play the right side at all did he? I know PJJ played both sides of the line pretty well. “I've always played tackle my career, so guard would be very new to me,” Skoronski said. “Even switching to right tackle would be new to me".
It's not as easy as people think to just swap to the other side of the line. If they plan on moving Braxton Jones to the right then this point doesn't mean anything, but still can't ignore it.

  10. I really think Paris Johnson is the only correct answer at #9.

That's IF Carter is already gone (which he will be)

  11. @Braggs I have to give credit where credit is due. On this podcast and the last after dark CHGO podcast, you have been excellent! Earlier, I sadly strongly disliked you and viewed you as the Jalen Carter of the CHGO team. Alas, you have turned the corner in maturity and professionalism, and for that, I'm proud of you, my friend. Keep moving forward and thank you for the change. 🙂

  12. The whole problem with skronk is If he can’t play RT like we need him to and he’s a G , we still have a huge need at RT so where do we go from there? JSN has highest floor

  13. All good kids, but Paris is lover of life. Nothing wrong with that but football isn't his everything. Teven is like that.

After last night and watching other scouts with shows….
My top OT for Bears is D Wright. Luv him.

But several say best fits are Anton Harrison & Blake Freeland!

I am digging the idea of Freelend super strong. Guy did 30 reps and they didn't count like 5. Has good anchor and long arms. Super athletic and both of them are good fits for Bears O.
Freeland at #75 will work. Bears go Nolan Smith in 1st at #17 or #25

  14. You are REPORTERS. FLUS told you N Davis is RG.
TEVEN told your own reporter that he is an OT after the season. He said BEARS know this. So it's 1 of 2 things guys….either TEVEN is RT….OR teven leaves with no extension. It's that simple. Pro Bowl or not. The guy didn't want to play guard. It's either RT or free agency. Either way you need to see if he can play RT… you keep saying it's done.

I believe that teven did the Bears a solid last year because they had Reiff. Now he wants to get paid. He said it in the interview that he won't go to a position that is paid that much less than OT

  15. Please stop saying Teven is a OG. When Flus stands up and says it. I will believe. Just like he said Nate Davis is RG.
Okay geniuses, "they are leaving Teven at RG". That's now dispelled. So why get Nate? Why? There were LG & centers out there. Good ones. But they signed a RG. Jenkins might be RT this year. If so I go DE in 1st…then Blake Freeland at #75. Today I am sold on him. Btw don't read the scouting reports that people read online. I swear they don't watch. I believe all this stuff about Harrison , Wright, and Freeland. Then I watched combine and pro day ,+ film.

  16. None of this matters when they're taking JSN and that will help Fields and the line when apposing teams can't cover JSN and DJM and Claypool/Mooney and Kmet and Tunyan… and by year 2, JSN will be #1 and DJM will be #2, how scary would that be? We can still get an upgrade over Borom in the 2nd. We could go Center, Tackle, Edge with the next 3 picks and all 3 probably starters/upgrades

  17. Paris is the best tackle in this draft and Pete is the best guard we need a tackle and the fact you don’t see Paris is a sure thing shows you don’t know what your talking about!🧠🤯🔫

  18. It’s so cringe to hear meatball’s use the terms “alpha” and “beta” to describe people. Jussayin

  19. With the escalation of defensive pressure up the middle if Seronski is best Olineman in draft, Draft him.

  20. Between Chicago sports talking heads and Bears fans it shows how obvious of how much homer/Northwestern you are. The fact that you have Skoronski on this list as a tackle is completely ridiculous!!! It's pathetic. Actually I'd prefer Wright out of Tennessee. He was voted the best tackle in the SEC by the coaches in the SEC and earned all SEC honors for 2022 season He allowed 0 sacks for the entire season.

  21. Let me get this straight Hoge, you think it's a reach to draft Wright at 9 but it's not a reach for Skoronski? And Wright was voted the best tackle in the whole SEC by the coaches and others and didn't give up a sack for the entire season of 2022? Wow!!! He was considered a better tackle over Broderick Jones even who so happens to also play in the SEC!! SMFH

  22. "Scronski obviously won't play Guard for the Bears"!?? Wha?? You ignore Poles' emphasis on length even more than you ignored the total lack of scheme fit with Orlando Brown. 🤦‍♂️
Also, Scronski is a Packer fan, not Bears fan. Despite growing up in CHI, his G-pa played for cheesheads so he is one too. He's a Guard in NFL and will be a really good one, but not a T. Too bad he's not a center.😅

  23. You guys are finally praising Broderick Jones and how nasty he is, but put down Deiter Eiselen? They’re the same type of player.
You put Paris Johnson first because everyone else does, but Hoge finally got it right. You guys make fun of Skoronski’s arms, but tout how long Paris’ arms are. He doesn’t use them. He’s constantly wrapping and hugging guys.
This is supposed to be the top tackle in the draft. He shouldn’t be a project. He should be technically sound.
Skoronski and Darnell Wright are the ones who are technically sound.
Darnell Wright shut down the best player in the draft. He’s smart as shit.
All these OLine guys go to the same camp to workout. Skoronski and Darnell Wright were the top two.

  24. The problem is the Zone Scheme itself. Yes, occasionally run it, but you can’t expect these huge OLine guys to perform reach blocks or sustain blocks running sideways for 10-15yds.
These guys are taught fundamentals of blocking and zone schemes go against those fundamentals.
Not to mention, your WRs have to block. How many FA or draft WRs have you watched any of their blocking? A guarantee not 1 of you watched a single WR block.

  25. There is no player that could IMPACT THE BEARS as profoundly as Running Back, Bijan Robertson. Not only is he a Generational Talent that comes along only once every ten years or so, but he is also a top notch pass receiver who can go DEEP and catch contested balls and gain yards after the catch. But on top of that, Bijan Robertson he is one of the BEST BLOCKERS, and so in the effort to PROTECT JUSTIN FIELDS, having Bijan Roberson staying in the backfield and blocking for Justin is like having another TACKLE on the team. No team could possibly benefit from this SPECTACULAR DRAFT PROSPECT more than the BEARS who not only have a long tradition of always having great running backs, but with JUSTIN FIELDS possibly being the BEST SCRAMBLING QB of all times, but also having what could possibly be the best Running Back next to him in the same backfield, would give the BEARS the potential of having and unstoppable, and perhaps one of the best, Running Teams in the history of the game. BUT THERE IS ONE EVEN BIGGER REASON for drafting Bijan Robertson. We don't really know for certain if Justin Fields will ever become more than an AVERAGE PASSER. Designing the OFFENSE to be the BEST RUNNING TEAM would be an ENORMOUS HEDGE against the possibility that Justin Fields will never be able to achieve the passing greatness in the NFL that he had at Ohio State. And, if the BEARS had an unstoppable RUNNING ATTACK, the BEARS would still become a consistent SUPER BOWL CONTENDER. Plus, having a SUPER RUNNING GAME opens up the field for the passing game, making an Average Passer better than normal because a Powerful Running Attack opens up the field and makes it easier to achieve Passing Success, and this may be one of the best ways to help out Justin Fields in his development, if he ends up never really achieving that quickness in reading defenses that the really great QB's like Aaron Rodgers have possessed. Ryan Noles has his mind on making the BEARS a PERMANENT perennial Super Bowl contender. That is why he is being so meticulous in building the foundation of the NEW BEARS. Picking a Tackle at No 9 would be nice, but I have never heard of GREAT TEAM being attributed to having a good Tackle, but having the combination of JUSTIN FIELDS (possibly the best running quarterback of all times), and Bijan Robertson (who could possibly become one of the greatest Running Backs of all times) and who is also a terrific pass catcher and QB blocker would make HEADLINES and more importantly, this would make the BEARS (who, lets face it, have consistently been one of the most BORING TEAMS in the NFL) one of the most exciting team to watch for both BEAR FANS and NATIONAL AUDIENCES. I would rather have an exciting BEAR TEAM that makes every game an exciting high scoring shoot out affair but doesn't get to the Super Bowl, rather than a BORING BEARS TEAM that wins UGLY with Great Defense but practically no Offense and only win if they recover a fumble in the End Zone and win 13-10. I want a BEAR TEAM that is exciting to watch and when they play a team like the KC CHIEFS, the score is 54 to 53, even if the BEAR lose. I WILL LOSE A LOT OF FAITH IN THE NEW BEARS MANAGEMENT if they don't see the potential in drafting Bijan Robertson.
