I game the 300 mini blackout. I have it lofted at 13.5 and use a 1inch shorter shaft than standard. I use it off the tee as a fairway finder it goes about 30 yards short of my standard driver . Great 3w replacement as i dont ever find myself needing to hit a 260 yard shot off the deck.
Honest question (not being a smarta$$) – why would someone use a mini driver instead of a high loft driver with the same loft? If you choke the driver down an inch or so, it's the same shaft length, but the driver has a huge sweet spot. Thanks.
300 mini is my favorite driver ever. I have the 11.5° and play it at 9°. So it is not a loft thing, I just love everything about it.
I get it out there 300 pretty consistently, I tend to spin my 430-460CC driver up until the TSR3. The TSR3 took my 300 out of the bag, but there are still some courses or bad days I whip it out.
The burner mini is the best looking club TM has released in years. Dig it. Need to test one out. I'm a 3 wood guy over driver a lot of the time so really think the mini driver would suit me
So its a 2 wood?????? I had an original burner, but hard to see having gone back to golf after 2 decades why you would ever want to not to use a modern 460cc and a nice 3 wood, dialed down.
I never tried the Mini 300. But I just got my Brner mini last week and took it on the course yesterday. It went exactly where I wanted it to every time I used it. My course is small and tight, so distance isn’t the key on most hole. I found myself grabbing for this driver almost every hole, evening hitting off the ground twice. It will be in my bag forever as far as I’m concerned.
It's JUST A DRIVER …. and a very very good one. Very similar feel to my old MP600 but definitely clocks it further with a nice sniff of draw. Jives wonderfully with last years Stealth 7 wood. Looking forward to enogh growth on the fairways to test it off the deck!
I’ve been thinking of getting a mini driver. I tend to hit my fairway woods pretty well but just can’t seem to keep the driver consistent and I think the mini driver may be a solid compromise. Idk if it’s wishful thinking
I love their minis. I play many tight par 4s where I can tee it low and find the fairway with it. easy to work with as well with the center of the club comes closer to the shaft axis than a normal driver so it is way easier to turn over when needed.
I’ve still got my 300 it makes you smile Use it off the deck and off the tee generally use it as a strong 3 wood Would like to try the burner thanks for the video
For me there just isn't a spot for it in my bag because of the gapping. I'm able to hit my 3 wood well enough, so it gives me the longest yards I need when not using a driver.
Good review. I bought one a week ago and honestly, its a game changer. Btw, James, why the super clickbaity titles, mate? Brutal, honest truth? You're not sharing state secrets. More like: "The NEW Taylormade BRNR Mini Driver – Consider it!".

The truth is that the head cover is disgusting looking.
I couldn’t justify the price, I just use a 13 degree 3 wood.

I personally find it easier to hit a smaller og driver then the over sized ones today
Why not just choke down 1" or so on your regular driver? Why spend $$$ on something you already have in your bag?
What was the dispersion? If one is tighter that’s why you’re buying the mini.
And have Foxxy play 18 with it!!!!
Is it still a positive AOA with the mini's, or can you swing it like a 3W?

You don't hit a mini driver for lower spin!, You hit it to find more fairways.

I really wanted to try one but I kill my shorter shafted Cobra Rad XB!
Isnt 13° a 3 wood?

I think it’s a great for people who have a hard time hit a bigger head driver

Do you position it as a driver or more like a 3 wood in your stance?
Keeping my original, but thanks!

Titleist and Ping and Callaway are your only choices this year.
tried it today, 10 metres longer than my Cobra F8 3 wood😂😂 with 2 degrees less loft😮
Why don't they just call it a 2 wood
Seems like a 3 wood can do pretty much the same as a mini-driver.

Should I get the 11.5 or 13.5 if I’m looking to use it more as a driver?
They’re never in your bag because Mr D always has them in his!😂
This looks like halfway between a driver and 3 wood. Why would someone choose a mini over a regular driver?
